Disappointed

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Queen Victoria

Cunard really need to get it’s act together, the ship is failing in so many areas. Constantly changing the excursion itinerary, length of stay at ports, even the various destinations of the cruise is both annoying and frustrating. Information provided via the pamphlets left in cabin bare no relationship to the information on their onboard website. Confuse the two at your peril - cancellation ...

** We chose this cruise because we wanted to spend Christmas and New Year on a cruise and we particularly wanted to see the New Year fireworks in Madeira as well as liking the varied itinerary.. ** It was trouble free embarkation - very well organised. ** My partner wanted to be on Cunard as he has always appreciated Cunard's style. There were some very good moments and some that were a bit ...

Liked the itinerary - which unfortunately was changed - once we had boarded. Apparently Cunard were well aware that the ship had a cracked propeller -so our 15 night cruise was changed to include a three day stay in Cadiz - in a dry dock. As the ship was off next on a lengthy ‘ round the world ‘ trip - why not fit the repair in to that cruise ? We were told by the Captain that it was a rare ...

We chose a back to back cruise to celebrate our birthdays. The first 12 nights we were Club Balcony and the second 17 nights on Princess Grills. I will talk about dining later. The Club Balcony we chose was on deck 7 with an extended very large curved balcony, the stateroom is similar to most other balcony cabins but at an increased cost due to the Club Dining. Most Club Balconies offered are ...

Our main purpose was to visit Madeira on New Year’s Eve.the fireworks are a must to see and did not disappoint. Check in included a covid test which meant my wife pushing my wheelchair quite a distance through qualming system which was unnecessary there were less than a dozen people queuing. We then entered the main terminal where we received our test results fairly quickly and boarded the ...

Chose cruise on recommendation. Brittania Outside with Balcony on Deck 4. Cabin nice but not exceptional, shower particularly small. Steward did a good job. Corridors on several of the lower decks were at times smelly and were well in need of re-decoration. Main public areas were much better but our biggest criticism was more related to other guests. Commodore Bar at times almost empty and half ...

went on this Cruise with my elderly Mum as her companion , and though i might not be your typical cruiser in some way , i'm 53 and been on various other cruises ( princess-5 , P&O-3 , FredOlsen-2 , etc ) , so not a newbie as far as cruising goes , the getting on board all seemed to go smoothly enough , though that's helped by the fact , mum asks for wheelchair/mobility assistance at the port ...

Not unpleasant, but rather boring.....

This was our second in Queen Victoria. But the first since the 2017 alterations. Our reason was partly because the first was so good - not always the wisest reason - and the second because we wanted to get away. Embarkation at Mayflower Terminal, Southampton was flawless. No filling of health forms, no waiting on not so comfortable seats, straight to a check-in desk and on to the ship. I do not ...

1st Cunard experience and sad to say we have B2B booked with them in Aug/Sept 2019, 1st time ever I'm only half hearted about an upcoming cruise !!!!!! I'm sure the locations will cover any Cunard shortcoming. Let me start by saying that while nothing was really wrong it's just that there was nothing that stood out or made the cruise an unforgettable 5 (or even 4) star experience. We cruise ...

My husband and I were passengers on the Queen Elizabeth for the San Francisco to Sydney Cruise which took place on February 5, 2018 to February 28, 2018 to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. This was meant to be a trip of a lifetime. We are both in our mid/end-70’s and generally in good health, up to date with our vaccines, and pride ourselves on our immune strengthening nutrition. We truly ...
