Celebrate 4th of July on a cruise - my first cruise with Cunard and my last.
Embarkation was totally skewed. Ship arrived 6 hours late however there was no order to embarkation. No one had any idea what was happening and total disregard for communication to passengers. Our embarkation was a complete nightmare!!! The cruise was delayed 6 hrs, totally understandable given the circumstances. What wasn’t ok was the chaos that was referred to as embarkation. We thought it be nice to spend a week on QM2 and booked two Queen's Grill suites to travel with my family. However starting with a horrific boarding experience the cruise barley got any better for us.

Horrible customer service for six hour boarding. No attempt to provide customers any relief. No credit offered. Elderly people had to lie on concrete floors for hours. No food offered. No chairs. No communication until 5 pm when Cunard rep announced it would be another hour or more before checking could commence; this was followed by 1000 people groaning and booing

We selected a short cruise on the QM2 since we were considering a transatlantic cruise. To sum it up in 2 words: very disappointing. The first clue was at the ship terminal. This was a 90th birthday cruise for a long-time Cunard passenger. Embarkation took over two hours(one person fainted) and young children were being held by parents for long periods of time.
