This cruise was a disaster from embarkation day

Celebrate 4th of July on a cruise - my first cruise with Cunard and my last. Embarkation was totally skewed. Ship arrived 6 hours late however there was no order to embarkation. No one had any idea what was happening and total disregard for communication to passengers. We waited over 6 hours to board all of which we were standing and not moving. Passengers were falling down and getting very ...

Our embarkation was a complete nightmare!!! The cruise was delayed 6 hrs, totally understandable given the circumstances. What wasn’t ok was the chaos that was referred to as embarkation. We stood on line for 3.5 hours. My husband’s back was so bad he didn’t recover the entire cruise. We tried to get him a wheelchair, totally impossible. There were so few available for many people. He took to ...

Horrible Cruise on Queen Mary 2

We thought it be nice to spend a week on QM2 and booked two Queen's Grill suites to travel with my family. However starting with a horrific boarding experience the cruise barley got any better for us. As other have posted, boarding the ship was total chaos. 4 hours of standing in line with no food or beverage is a horrible way to treat your guests. Zero priority given to Queens Grill guests ...

Deliberately Unacceptable Service

I captioned my review in this way because management has screwed up in so many different ways and has proven so unresponsible that it has to be deliberate. The Cunard website is hard to navigate. Even Cunard's telephone support people tell me that. There were times when you simply could not print out required papers, including luggage tags. This seems to be such a frequent problem that the ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

We chose this cruise to celebrate my partner's birthday with a transatlantic crossing that included many destinations on our bucket list. We have been on other cruises in the Mediterranean and also South America - they were fabulous experiences that cemented our enjoyment of cruising. What we didn't know was that Cunard really only cater for people over 70. For people in this age category the ...

Six hours to board at Brooklyn cruise terminal. No food no chairs no info

Horrible customer service for six hour boarding. No attempt to provide customers any relief. No credit offered. Elderly people had to lie on concrete floors for hours. No food offered. No chairs. No communication until 5 pm when Cunard rep announced it would be another hour or more before checking could commence; this was followed by 1000 people groaning and booing Sheets dirty in ...

Beautiful ship but the experience was disappointing

We selected this particular cruise for the dates and final destination (Quebec) Embarking in NY was a joke. You’d think they would have perfected this by now as they’re in the business of moving people. At first nobody knew what to do with us. The process took hours... Left NY 4 hours late because we needed fuel... You’d think they could have used the hours we spend boarding to do this. ...

We selected a short cruise on the QM2 since we were considering a transatlantic cruise. To sum it up in 2 words: very disappointing. The first clue was at the ship terminal. We were given a specific time to be at the cruise terminal and were told that if we were delayed to please notify the cruise line since we had preferred boarding status...so did 1k other guests. It was a cattle call ! ! ...

Cunard's ineptness

This was a 90th birthday cruise for a long-time Cunard passenger. Embarkation took over two hours(one person fainted) and young children were being held by parents for long periods of time. Dining room service was extremely slow and the servers were not pleasant. Took 20-25 minutes to get a beverage. We were rushed out of the dining room every night. Sheet cake ordered and paid for was not ...
