Cunard sent a rather casual email to passengers about a day before embarkation saying we should add 6 hours to our assigned boarding time due to a medical emergency. I just got off the Queen Mary 2 on a 7-Day New York to Canada and return cruise. I must say I had great expectations for this cruise. We've cruised twice on the Queen Victoria and loved the old world elegance and charm. Dancing in the big ballroom was a delight, and the Britannia Dining Room had delicious food served with flair. What a surprise to find out that where the Queen Victoria excelled, the Queen Mary 2 fell short.

QM2 not yet back to pre-shutdown service and condition .
Although those in the Grills may be experiencing a Premium experience , Brittania guests
more of the mass market experience of other lines , but at a premium price.

Embarkation: Worse experience ever. Almost 2 hours just to check-in at the port. Two lines – one for priority one for steerage (us). Our line did not move.
