Getting away on what we thought would be a restful and peaceful cruise across the Atlantic was anything but that, and we will never sail with Cunard again. Entering the terminal and boarding the ship was about the only positive part, although as we masked up from that first minute we wondered about Covid on the ship. Turns out we should have wondered as the ship was ripe with Covid ...
Chose this ship since it was going through the panama canal, across the atlantic and on to the mediterranean.
Worst staff ever! most staff were incompetent at their jobs, especially reception and pursers office.
Many staff were outright rude! we have never seen such widespread rudeness on a cruise ship.
Room steward LOCKED ME OUT on my patio and then blamed the door (said it locked ...
We chose Victoria again as it was going to Rio de Janeiro including a long trip along the Amazon. We started from Southampton and flew back from Rio. The ship carried on finally returning to Southampton. On board all food in the Britannia, Lido and Verandah restaurants was excellent. Staff service in all areas was also excellent. The ship's condition was very good overall and for those yet to ...
The service in the Britannia restaurant was as great as always. But the weather across the Atlantic was dreadful. We were late into Bermuda and Port Canaveral. The Churchill cigar lounge was full of cigarette smokers and resembled the Dog and Duck pub rather than an intimate cigar lounge as it is advertised. Day activities were poor and because of the weather the decks were often closed. ...
We went on the worldwide cruise with Cunard in Jan 2019 and have vowed never to cruise with this company again. The ship was tatty and the furnishing were mediocre. Air con was cold throughout the ship and you could not turn this off in your stateroom. It would have been nice to have been able to open our balcony door but if we did this the air con went into ‘overdrive’ and dripped. I am sure ...
This was our first Cunard experience, and we were not disappointed. We were on the first sector of the 2019 World Cruise; this would take us from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale, stopping at Bermuda and Port Canaveral. We were under no illusions with six sea days before the first port of call we would need to find plenty to do. Also, the North Atlantic in January could have been very rough ...
We chose this cruise from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale because we like days on board the ship and the 11 day voyage from Southampton to Forty Lauderdale is perfect for us. We had done the same voyage the year before -since when the QV has undergone a refit which has improved the ship although it has created yet another tier of special client which may be good for Cunard but does nothing to ...
just done transatlantic on Queen Elizabeth, first time on Cunard bought new suit and my wife bought new evening wear, we needn't have bothered people where dressed in all sorts, even saw one man go in to restaurant in jeans (not a formal night)
we had afternoon tea, was poor a waiter arrived with a serving dish that only had 3 sandwich"s on it , never got offered a cake, did get a scone but ...
We are easy to please - pleasing surroundings and public areas, excellent food, quality entertainment, good service, and comfortable cabin. Whilst cabin service could not be faulted and the cabin was great, everything else fell far short of expectation. In no particular order. The cheap plastic seats in the Britannia dining room make your legs sweat profusely and a horrible feeling when you stand ...
We have previously travelled on many Celebrity ships and also Victoria and QM2. We loved Victoria and hated QM2; we liked Elizabeth as much as Victoria. They both compare plus/minus with Celebrity. I have to disagree with some of the last few reviews posted. The food was good, service was good, the shows were virtually all good, Speakers were mostly very good. The balcony cabin was very good. The ...
