This cruise was a christmas gift from my husband. I am in my late 30's and he is early 40's. This was our second cruise. First was on the Carnival Legend. We traveled without our 3 kids. First getting to the ship was easy, about 25 minutes from Staten Island. Before we knew it we were on the ship- so easy. We arrived at 11:00 and waited in line for only 10 minutes. Through the hall we went took ...

We flew from Monroe, LA to Newark the evening before the cruise, arriving about midnight. We stayed at the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson in Elizabeth, NJ. It was an OK place to stay. The room was small. The staff was friendly. We had booked a King room and instead had 2 double beds. It was fine. They served breakfast in the morning, called us a cab and we headed to the ship. I booked this trip as a surprise for my wife. Another couple joined us on the cruise. We had been on the QM2 early in her service. We took back-to-back 12 day cruises from Fort Lauderdale to Rio and then back again. We had a wonderful time, but I was curious to see if the kinks had been worked out. The short answer is yes and no. We were booked into the "Britannia Club". This is a sub-class ...

We just returned four days ago from the Independence Day Getaway voyage aboard the Queen Mary 2, and already we miss her desperately. Though we were onboard for only 4 days, our experience aboard the grand QM2 provided a terrific introduction to cruising and has clearly shown what makes Cunard Line a step above the rest. EMBARKATION: Getting onboard the ship was, well...an adventure in itself. ...
