Beach stop for lobster lunch on excursion in San Salvador. A piece of heaven.
Prego Specialty Restaurant (Italian) Mushroom Soup in a Bread bowl. My wife favorite of anything on the cruise.

Review for Crystal Serenity to Baltic Sea

We chose the Serenity having travelled on the Espirit and the Harmony and because we wanted to do a Baltic Sea Cruise. We have suite 11060 which is fine and it an added benefit to order dinner from any of the dining establishments. The check in was seamless. Our butler and cabin attendants, Jose and Lydia, were the best!!!! You could not find anything lacking in their lovely demeanor and ...

Pampered and well fed

We thought we booked the same line we took on another cruise, but it turned out to be the Crystal Serenity, which was even better. The staff were happy, which we like because it means the company treats them well, then they treated us very well. We liked the way every time we sat down, whether it was in the central lounge on Deck 5 or the Forward lounge on Deck 12, there was someone approaching ...

This was our 24th cruise on Crystal and the first after the Serenity came out of dry dock. We took this cruise to relax as my husband was recuperating. The boarding process in Reykjavik was a little off as there was no cruise terminal but Crystal handled what they were given very well. Once onboard we received our cruise cards without any wait and enjoyed a champagne lunch at Waterside. The ...

THE LAST CRUISE AND THE $22,000 COLDS by Strode Wallace

Review for Crystal Serenity to Baltic Sea

I did not know whether to title this review “The Last Cruise” or “The $22,000 Colds.” As much as we like Crystal, in 2018 I had booked a cruise on Pro-Iceland for a 7-day cruise of just Iceland. But in April I was in hospital with heart problems and we cancelled the cruise and got all of our money refunded from our travel agent David Butterfield of All Cruise Travel in California. By late ...

Everything I hoped for

We have been Celebrity loyalists (with one Oceania cruise as well), but a Crystal cruise was on my bucket list, so when Crystal offered a sale and the itinerary was appealing, I jumped on it. My husband was skeptical—how could it be worth more than twice what we usually pay for a cruise? Now we know. This was everything I hoped it would be. We always build in an extra day in our flight ...

Not as good as before

Embarkation was not very smooth. Waited in groups with a number. When it came time to board, stood outside in the rain, without umbrellas, to get through security, Dining by reservation was a hassle if you wanted to change your time. MDR service was often slow. Waited 45 minutes one evening to get appetizer. Food often didn't come out as requested (salad with dressing on the ...

Amazing Cruise

This was our fourth time sailing on the Serenity. She is a well appointed ship. The staff stay the same from year to year. They go out of their way to accommodate the passenger. Our every request is granted with a smile. This is one of the reasons we love Crystal. Another thing we love about Crystal is that they overnight in in some ports. On this cruise we had overnights in three ports. This ...

It was supposed to be a luxury cruise but it was quite disappointing

I have had 4 cruise lines so far, all smaller luxury cruises; Regent, Silver Sea, Seabourne and this time, Crystal. I msut tell yu Crystal was the most disappointing of them all. We took Crustal as we were encourageed by the high ratigns the creuise line has been advertising. It was a luxury cruise but the classes, excursions, shows did not meet our expectations but the most disapointing was the ...

Effortless embarkation & debarkation We were able to walk right up to check-in with no line and immediately proceeded to board the ship. The debarkation was equally stress free and we left the ship at our leisure. Phenomenal food and top level service. The service on the lido deck is more attentive than anywhere on the ship. The staff quickly learns your name and if you are dining at the Lido ...

Meets our needs

Review for Crystal Serenity to Baltic Sea

I am 42, and DH is 47. We have been on one Regent Navigator cruise, one Silversea Silver Spirit cruise, and one Paul Gauguin cruise. I still consider us cruise newbies. We have specific needs as we are "quirky" at the best of times, and we have been looking for a cruise line that meets both our specific travelling eccentricities. Crystal seems to be able to meet this! This is my first review for ...
