Have heard about crystal and decided to try it out. Previously we had done a Viking river cruise was NOT excited about that and were reluctant to do another river cruise but thought we would.
we boarded the ship in Budapest. We spent time there before cruising on up the Danube. I won't bore you with the daily stuff but suffice it to say we enjoyed all of the excursions and side trips they ...
I was a reluctant river cruiser, but timing was right so we booked the Christmas cruise to give it a try. I can't say enough good things about the ship or the experience. My first surprise was on boarding - I couldn't get over the elegance of this ship. The public rooms are well designed and maintained. Check-in was a breeze, took about 5 minutes - enough time to begin to sip on the welcoming ...
This cruise was excellent. Food was great. Excursions are top notch. Service was the best
We were on Crystal Debussy last summer. This was an identical experience - just colder
We had the S1 category room with an expanded closet and double sink. For a winter cruise the larger closet makes sense as the outwear take up a lot of space. Room is immaculate and well laid out. In room ...
As fans of Crystal ocean ships, we wanted to sail on Mozart, before she became exclusively for oriental guests from January 1st, though of course there will be 4 other Crystal river ships to choose from.
We flew to Vienna the day before staying at an excellent airport hotel before being picked up by the included crystal transfer bus on the day of our cruise. It whisked up across the city to ...
I chose this cruise because I've never been on a river cruise and I've never cruised with crystal. The itinerary interested me very much and I was not disappointed.
My cabin was wonderful. I was in cabin 215, a deluxe suite. the butler was incredible. he was friendly, professional and seemed to anticipate my every need. i was well taken care of.
the entire crew is trained perfectly. ...
I happened upon a great sale on Crystal River Cruises and my husband and I had never sailed the Danube, so I thought, why not? This wasn't even meant to be our big vacation for the year - we went to Australia last May. I arranged our own airfare on American in Premium Economy (nice and roomy for the flights both ways although the seats don't lay flat, they are at least more comfortable and the ...
We looked forward to a relaxing trip with great food and being docked in the center of towns.
Unfortunately most of the docking locations required a bus ride or very long walk to town.
There was only 1 therapist in a 1 room "spa". She was rude and didn't listen to our concerns.
Some of the food was outstanding including the lobsters flown in from Maine but other dishes were only average. ...
We spent 8 days prior to leaving Basel in Switzerland....and spent an extra 3 days in Amsterdam at the end.
They check you in while you are sipping on a nice Prosecco....We had EXCELLENT bartenders, shore excursion people, the guides were very good....The service and the waiters in the dining room were excellent.....The ship is the perfect size. We spent 3 lovely days on the rooftop with ...
The ship is new and very elegant. Never feels crowded. Pop up bar on top deck is great when you have nice weather. We were in lowest level room and it was equivalent to higher rooms on other ships. Don’t be afraid to book the least expensive option. While small, it was just fine. Only criticism of the room is the toilet is a little difficult to use if you are large. There is a very large ...
Crystal met us at the airport, helped us with luggage to their coach (bus), and had our cabin ready early. The staff (with only a few exceptions) were overwhelmingly helpful and friendly. We had put the provided tags on our luggage, so once we left the airport we didn't have to worry with it until it showed up in our cabin--and pretty quickly at that. The Butler service would have unpacked for ...
