Billed as hi end luxury to Aus & NZ with exciting stops. Was average cruise but 3-4 times what it was worth. Very dissapointed with kangaroos &koalas tour, few kang in trees, two koalas - do not go on morning tour. Gratuities not inc for drinks -18%! We were sick on board & charged fortune for what seemed excessive treatment for flu & bronchitis. Profit center charges. Food in cabin generally arrived cold. Cheap Mickey Mouse game with internet access. Shows & dancing too late - never got to dance once. Missed two stops for weather - should compensate passengers, even so. These are the experts, we didn't get what we paid for, they should know stops are missed at this time of year. Not inadvertising. Overall quite dissatisfied. My wife confined to cabin, missed 1/3 cruise but no offer of compensation, very expensive cruise of a lifetime ruined- feel very ripped off. Read Less

3rd Oceania cruise. Chose Australia to have visited six of the seven continents. Was on inside and without request was allowed to board at 11:20 after checking out of hotel. They provide food until room ready just before 3. Food was excellent, but it appeared that presentation was less elaborate than prior cruises. Ports were well chosen for excursions but second half was very hot (around 40 degrees Celsius) and humid. Dembarkation was excellently handled. We chose OLIFE excursions but arranged own for great Barrier reef, komoto dragons and Bali. Overall, wished we could done second leg around western Australia but had to get back to work. Made many new friends playing Trivia and other O Points games on board. Loved scavenger hunt to match pictures to items on board. Shows were good but not excellent. Only saw 2 children and vast majority were over 65. Roughly 1/2 of passengers were from US, 1/3 from Canada. 5/6 of passengers had sail with Oceania previously. Read Less

5th sailing with Oceania..love the staff, sizes of their ships and the itineraries. We have been on the Nautica and Marina as well. Both very nice ships with equally wonderful staff and service. More specialty restaurants on the Marina because it is a bigger ship. Always find the staff to be responsive to our needs...even to the point of searching for jello for room service when one of us had an intestinal issue. If there is an issue the management staff is quick to contact the passenger to address it. The onboard activities are varied so almost anyone can find something to do. Plenty of spaces for reading.love the Horizon area for reading, self service coffee and tea and the views as we sail. Breakfast in the dining room is a wonderful way to start the day with the friendly and efficient staff. So many cruise ship choices to select but we think Oceania is the best for staff, size of ship and itineraries!! Read Less
