Ship shows outside signs of its age. A good paint job would fix this. This ship was chosen as a trip with our grandchildren and convenient, out of Texas. We did encounter issues, such as A/C and plumbing. Supervisor Staff and Diamond Concierge was helpful. We ate in dining room every night but one, waitstaff felt very inexperience but continually asked us to remember to fill out survey. (Which we did) Food was okay but it seemed like the same items every night. The buffet was even worse. It was the same options everyday for lunch. The best meal of the week was room service one night. The only dining options at night are Main Dining, Buffet or Chops (fee). It would be nice to have at least one more. Our cabin steward was a little distracted (due to family issues) but good enough. Our grandson (8 yrs, almost 9) really enjoyed the Kids Club. He went every night and was always excited to go back. The ship shows signs of age, especially outside and there are no frills and thrills like others her size. The entertainment staff was talented and we enjoyed the shows. Read Less

The food was great, and the service was amazing. We purchased a dining package, but this is a very small ship, so there is only 1 specialty dining option, Chops Grille. The food at Chops was very good, but there wasn't much variety. We chose to dine in the main dining room most days. We also did a Chef's Table experience one night, and that was great. Very good wine and the food was amazing. We ate at the Windjammer buffet for breakfast on port days, but it was so crowded. We avoided it for the rest of the trip. We also purchased The Key, which was definitely worth it. Early boarding and disembarkation, Wi-Fi, and VIP seating at the theaters was all very nice to have. At the end of the cruise, we were able to walk straight off the ship through customs. We left our room at 7:40am, and were in our car by 8am. We stayed in a Junior Suite, and the space was amazing. We will definitely book suites in the future. So. Much. Storage. The worst part was the pools. If you don't want to get kicked in the face by a child every 2 minutes, stay away from the main pool. There's a kid's pool, but they invade both of the pools on the sun deck. It's impossible to enjoy yourself. But the Solarium Pool was adults-only, and you can get a little sun even though the area is enclosed. But it would still get a little crowded on sea days (it's a tiny pool). I got a pedicure at the spa, but it wasn't very pleasant. The nail tech spent the entire time trying to sell me things like detox tea. Not very relaxing. The activities at the bars get very crowded, so get there early. Getting off of the ship at Costa Maya was a NIGHTMARE. We got there at noon, and everyone tried to get off the ship at the same time. We missed our excursion, even though we walked directly off of the ship to the pier. A lot of other people got left behind too. I'm not sure what happened with that port, but it was absolute chaos. But we ended up spending the day on the ship, and were actually able to enjoy the pool. It was deserted. Wonderful time. Getting off at Cozumel was much easier, I booked a dive and had a great time. The ports are the usual over-commercialized cruise ports with very aggressive vendors. The ship shows its age. Rust everywhere, stains on the furniture in our suite, torn carpet, dents and scuffs on the wall, etc. But the room was always spotlessly clean. Overall, we will cruise with RC again, as we're only 1 hour away from the port. It doesn't get much more convenient. But we probably wouldn't cruise on this ship. It was just so crowded. Read Less

Took this cruise mainly because it was a different ship at our home Port. We we're not disappointed in the service and staff. After 15+ cruises on many different ships, the service on Enchantment was probably the best we've ever had. Our cabin attendant Priscilla was extremely efficient and accommodating, always with a smile. The Windjammer had one of the managers that was "Top Notch". Steven was all over the Windjammer dining area, checking on the guests, and occasionally belting out a tune tableside, and had an infectious laugh that made my day. In the conceirge lounge, Perla handled any requests you had with efficiency and a friendly smile, and our waiter, Ida couldn't have been better, would like to have taken him home with me. Ship needs work/refurbished badly. Paint, woodwork bad, needs basic drydock refurbish. All in all it was a good cruise, with above and beyond service. Read Less
