We chose this cruise because of the ports, thinking it would be great way to travel to these destinations without having pack and unpack. Our first impression of the ship was good, considering the negative reviews of the ship. All areas of the ship were kept clean and in good condition. Our cabin (9126) was on level 9, a good level to access the pool area and Buffet, but a bad area as it’s directly below this high traffic area. At all hours of the morning, day and nights, there is continual noise of trolley’s being rolled around above, and items being dropped on the floor. A few days into the cruise they had to perform maintenance on our bathroom (hot water issues with neighbouring rooms) which extended into the early evening. This was a bit of an inconvenience as we weren’t able to easily get ready for the evening with our friends, however guest services tried their best to make this as little a hassle for us as possible. The cabin problems persisted for a few days afterwards, and the staff did well to minimise the impact on us. However, considering this is Sold as a 5 star cruise, it really cheapened the overall experience for us, which is disappointing considering this was our second cruise with this company. As with any cruise, there was plenty of food. The selection was great and the service in the main dining areas was to the normal celebrity standard. The entertainment on the ship was great. They had a couple of guest acts that were exceptional. Although we chose this cruise for its ports, it turned out to be a negative as there were so many of them. With some of them (Toulon) a long way from anything of interest. Tip, research and book tours well in advance so that you are not left in a port with nothing to do. In Toulon in particular it was near impossible to get a cab to the main town centre, which wasn’t much to look at anyway. Read Less

First time in a Millennium class ship, not overtly impressed. Needed a refurb and the layout of some areas like the buffet, elevators, main parlor were small and odd. I'll definitely make sure I'm on a solstice or edge class next. I enjoyed Blue as we usually do concierge class. The wine selection by the glass even for premium is seriously lacking...the wines were poor and cheap. I missed Murano. I also found the constant upsell annoying and constant. I found the guest services staff a bit rude at times. I enjoyed the change in aqua class but I'm not sure it's worth the extra money, but it was nice to try. I really enjoyed the staff at Blu and the itinerary was good with only one sea day. I would recommend the cruise maybe just not the ship itself. We didn't do any celebrity cruises excursions but booked many good ones on our own. Read Less

Just returned from a first cruise on Constellation . Was a bit worried as some of the reviews mentioned wear and tear and dated ship. Worry not! The ship looks great, immaculately clean, a lovely stateroom, (maybe not the most modern of colours) and beautiful communal areas. But what made this trip so good were the staff, right through from the stateroom attendant to the restaurant and the entertainment team, everyone was welcoming and attentive. Somehow they managed to combine friendliness, fun and fantastic service. Food was excellent wherever we ate, entertainment was varied and fun. Live music in bars was relaxing and not too loud. We had Free Dining and were prepared to share a table. As such, whatever time we arrived for our evening meal, we were seated immefiately. We did afternoon quizzes, fun but testing, watched football on the top deck big screen, went to the theatre each evening. The Cruise Director is a sheer delight and his sense of fun is infectious. We travelled around the Adriatic from Venice to Rome and the ports varied from the beautiful Dubrovnik to the vibrant Naples, quaint Kotor, stunning Valetta and chaotic Catania. For us the variation added interest and charm. The only thing I would pull Celebrity up on was embarkation, which was somewhat chaotic, although, that could have been due to Venice port authorities. Disembarkation was excellent. Read Less
