The food was horrible. One in our party was vegetarian and the choices were slim to none. Same Indian vegetarian meal in dining room every night. The food in Lido restaurant needs to be labeled better. There was a pasta dish that looked like regular pasta with marinara sauce. After asking found out all the pasta sauce has seafood base. There seems to be no care given to people with dietary restrictions or needs. They have these hateful ladies (aka crumb patrol) in the Lido restaurant. They get in line right on top of you and clean crumbs the whole time you are in line. Felt very unwelcome. Hot tubs are not hot. I’ve had warmer baths. The temperature control in the cabins on deck 7 were horrible. I’m cold natured and I couldn’t get cool the whole trip. Then I saved the best for last. The muster safety drill! We had to stand outside sweating for an hour (because of waiting for late people), for a five minute safety drill showing how to put on a life jacket. The guy doing the demonstration in muster station F was so short we couldn’t see him. People were about to pass out from the heat. This was my 3rd cruise and my worst. Read Less

Haven't been on Carnival for a few years but got a good promo and liked the itinerary of this cruise so booked it Ship is older but can't tell from the very well kept areas all around the ship and lots of cleaning going on 24/7 which is a lot better than what I experienced on Royal's Harmony of the Seas last year Food on Lido had good selection and guy's burger (especially fries), burritos, pizza was great . Lines for Deli can get long and they premake the sandwiches which leads to them being soggy sometimes Buffet quality and selection is sufficient but can't match the variety of the newer/bigger ships The main dining room food was good and better than Royal Caribbean but the servers are clearly stretched and things like drinks, taking orders and even food can take a while depending on server and time. The deserts were mostly very well done Pool is small and there's only one water slide but didn't have issue finding chairs on deck Movie under the stars showed current movies with free popcorn (not like Royal charging$5) and usually had two movies a night Didn't watch the nightly shows as I never do regardless of cruiseline due to low quality for all cruiseline compared to shows on land Comedians were good Overall very enjoyable cruise and glad to see Carnival keeping up the quality of the basics like food and ship upkeep unlike other cruiseline chasing bigger and more gimmicks at expense of basics However, some fellow cruise passengers on this Carnival cruise were rude and lack basic manners to staff and others . Had an OV cabin which was in very good condition, great size and soundproof compared to other newer ships I've been on. Gym was generous size and had lots of cardio equipment though resistance/weight can sometimes have a wait but much better than other newer ships with more pax but even smaller fitness area than on conquest Read Less

This was the second week of our Back-to-Back on the Conquest. We love the crew, especially our room stewards, Dan and Muzaki! They did an outstanding job both weeks as they cared for our cabin and requests. The waiters in the Monet Main Dining Room were excellent. Sherwin, Wendell, and Leila made every evening special. All of the wait staff in the Monet were great at breakfast and brunch also. Customer service was very helpful, as was the excursion desk. Entertainment was fun, from evening shows (even if aimed at a younger crowd!), to the musicians throughout the ship every evening to the Mardi Gras party on the last evening. BTW - We LOVE Carnival's Groove for St Jude's parties and donation opportunities. That hospital for children with cancer does incredible work! I really hoped this was a GREAT GROOVE!! The food in the MDR was great with a wide variety, and lunch at Guy's Burgers and the Blue Iguana is always fun on sea days. We started the week at the The Point steakhouse on embarkation day. We ordered filet for my DH and lamb chops for me. WOW cuisine!!! Lovely evening! Worth the upcharge for sure! Read Less
