A group of us wanted to experience Cuba and found a good value on the Majesty of the Seas. We had no trouble getting on the ship. We arrived around 1pm, after parking at the very convenient Park and Go and taking the shuttle over. It only took about 30 minutes to get on board once we were dropped off. All meals, from the dining to the Windjammer buffets were varied and enjoyable. Servers were friendly and helpful. We asked for a larger table to accommodate 2 additional friends and the manager was very helpful and made it happen. The entertainment was enjoyable. While not a huge variety, the shopping was okay. Our cabin attendant on Deck 2 was fantastic, always smiling and friendly - very personable. While the ship is older and smaller, it fit our needs fine and was easy to navigate. We just enjoyed the getaway with good friends and good service! We took the bus tour in Cuba and it was very informative. It didn't last the full 6 hours, but we had the chance to walk the market and shop on the way back to the ship. The market was repetitive with items sold and the booth owners really push their items, but you get used to it as you walk through. We stopped at a bar/restaurant on the way back to the ship and enjoyed a cold Cuban beer. In Cozumel, we took a taxi into town for $16 for the group and walked back. It was quite a walk, but we had a lovely view along the water, and it gave us a chance to walk off some the food we had eaten on the ship! There is a good variety of shopping there if you are into that, and cheap deals on beer and free shots of tequila. All in all, a great cruise! Read Less

Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly, but that was it. This trip was advertised 2 days in Cuba, and it was only 1 day. The 2nd day we departed at 5AM. The bar staff overall looked bored and/or angry, the hallways smelled like poop, my stateroom bathroom was moldy and gross, smelled like a public restroom that has never been cleaned. There was glass on the hallway in front of our stateroom and my friend cut her foot with it. Very unsatisfied. Food made me and 3 of my friends sick and overall was below average. Margaritas and cranberry juice tasted like pure chemicals. After that I didn't even feel like trying any of the other mixed drinks. On top of it, the water was yellow one night. The toilet water was yellow and the sink was too, not sure why... don't even wanna know. I called and complained and got 20% off my next cruise, valid for a year... I would not recommend this ship. Many other guests were complaining because they did not have hot water in their stateroom. There were a couple of good things: the shore excursions both in Key West (Parasailing) and in Cuba (Old Car tour) were very good for the price and the staff was amazing. The rock wall climbing staff was very nice and helpful and the shoes were clean and new. Finally, a shout-out to Mario and Maha from Phillippines, our servers, who were very happy and provided great service. Read Less

Planned a cruise for eight people. We were all dissatisfied with our rooms. They were extremely small. There were many issues with the ship and we felt like we were in a retirement home.If you like to watch planet earth and cartoons over and over you will be ok. There was a strong sewage smell in our hallway, every time we stepped from our room or off the elevator. Many of the arcade games did not work and the sports deck seemed to be lacking. We had previously sailed once with carnival which was a party everyday, however we did prefer your accommodating staff !! They were by far the best part of our vacation! We also would have preferred our on deck experience after exploring new places, to have been livlier and more upbeat! We are currently in the process of planning our next family vacation and plan on doing our research a little better next time. Read Less
