Reflection is a great ship. We love S-Class Celebrity ships and this is one of the best. Has the full Sky Lounge instead of part of it cut out for suites. Great commons areas. two issues: seating is starting to get a bit worn and you sit very low in many of the chairs at a table. Not enough places for readers and card players. Need more open places so we aren’t taking up places for snacking/coffee such as at El Bacio or taking tables in Oceanview/Dining room. We played during non-dining times, but still had issue sometimes. the decor is getting a bit dated with the red and orange motifs. Ship was clean and well cared for. Dining: we early 6pm dining. 2 person table. excellent location at a window and outstanding service. tables relatively close but not close enough where if you didn’t want to talk to your neighbor, it wasn’t an issue. I’m deaf in one ear so even if I wanted to ‘eavesdrop’ on our neighbors I couldn’t! Dining choices were varied and very good quality. Never an issue for us. We do love trying varying foods but aren’t ‘foodies’. Specialty Dining: we did the 3-dinner package. Ate at Murano’s. Excellent but just too much for us. Tuscan Grill. Great steaks but I’m not a big steak person - would rather try other choices. I cook steaks at home just fine. Grill was fine but not worth it for us. QZine/Petit Chef. Loved it. great and different choices. The ravioli was to die for - not something to have at an average restaurant and this was outstanding. Common Areas: Well maintained. Many areas to try out. Need a bit more for those who will sit for extended times as a group. Service: as we find on Celebrity, outstanding. Met all our needs, not intrusive and didn’t run into the ‘upscale’ we get on other ships. Seemed to have more waitstaff in the common areas then we’d experienced before. Itinerary: we love being on board so a transatlantic is perfect for us. Done 4 prior and will do more. won’t go though all the ports, but lots of At Sea days; NYC; Boston; Bermuda; Nassau is a fantastic mix. Crossing further north than many Celebrity TA’s mean you’ll probably get cooler weather, a bit of rain and a bit higher sea states. But well worth it. Entertainment: Well mixed. Lots of good music. A Live Band! Excellent dancers and high wire workers. Guest entertainers were excellent except for magician who I didn’t like (I love magic). Runaround Kids were a homer run. Podium Speakers: Outstanding. Prosecutor with great stores of big cases; Broadway musicals and he sang many of the songs; Beatles by a photographer who had direct contact with them early in their careers. Movies - history and actors. Fun! then speakers on the ports that were history of the ports, and what the cities were like. Read Less

As a retired London travel agent I researched this cruise ship and knew the food would be very good. We booked 6.30 pm in Main Dining Room. Only went for first night as awful. Requested table for two for 50th anniversary. Put on table for six but with just four people on it. The noise from our floor and the one immediately above which was a sort of mezzanine floor was appalling. The acoustics were the worst my partner has ever experienced and he is a sound expert. He states that noise from the two restaurants was reverberating on the roof and you could not speak to the person seated next door. He said there was reflective sheeting making it worse and that there needs to be acoustic tiling on the ceiling. Our two companions opposite had to try lip reading. The man had hearing problems anyway so made it worse. The food was well below anything I have eaten on a ship. Prawns thrown on some lettuce and sauce from someone else that I could not hear. It got tossed on. The prawns had tails on and were then covered in sauce. You could not eat it without removing the prawns one by one and cutting them up. There were small sharp bones in the chicken which was badly presented, apples in pie not cooked. Waiters all over the place. Seemed confused. The chairs were very heavy like old fashioned lounge chairs and you could not move them in and out once seated. They were too low. One Head Waiter I met from another restaurant onboard agreed with the seating problem. Lighting also bad. No good points at all. Avoid. In total contrast The Oceanview Buffet Restaurant was the total reverse. Excellent food and friendly staff. Good seating. Lunches were busiest from what I observed. I saw a turkey being carried by two men which was about the size of a pig and a beef joint that would have fed the ship. Gob smacking trifles and cakes. Cannot recommend highly enough. Even if you did not like what you saw there was a food station that cooked you steak, chicken breasts or pork chops on a griddle while you waited. Look at this restaurant on the various utubes. We had breakfast here as late arriving and most others had stopped serving. Again excellent. Had all meals here. Did not try speciality restaurants but heard good reports. Except one man staying in a suite and able to eat in Luminaire restaurant stated that they were trying to be too clever with the food and he preferred the buffet. Nothing in the buffet area was too much trouble and people chatted to each other. Dining rating solely on Oceanview experience. We only saw one show as we had travelled for a complete rest after a hectic year. The show was spectacular. Aerialists and huge animals made from what looks like silk. This might be on Utube. Unsure. Probably one of the best shows I have seen. Room service was excellent and food good. They even rang to see if it had arrived and what you thought of it. I would have liked some chairs along the side of the open decks rather than just at both ends. It was all loungers about three rows deep. Getting on and off them is not easy and you do not always want to lay down. Felt seats generally were always too low for most of the target market. A lot need reupholstering. This seems a general problem with cruises. Even though there are a few fixable things I enjoyed this cruise enormously. Friendly helpful crew, excellent buffet food. I will travel again. Read Less

From start to finish the process of booking our cruise was great. This was our first cruise and so I didnt know what to expect. Prior to the crusie date my husband booked a VIP package online which included internet, Priority Embarkation and disembarkation (cases off first) inside tours, wine and food pairing, laundry amongst other things. Unfotunately this package (Just under $500) didnt turn out to be be all it should have. We did not recieve priority embarkation or disembarkation. And to add to it all our cases were infact last to come off the ship as the staff did not recognise the luggage label we had been given. We were told they had never seen one like it before and knew nothing about it. It had no number just premium pass on it. The staff were very helpful in trying to locate our luggage amongst the hundreds of other cases coming off the ship. We were initally charged for our laundry too, but the amazing Guest relations sorted that for us. That aside our crusie was amazing. From the food, the service, the ports, the other passengers and staff it was perfect. We are looking forward to booking our next cruise and hopefully it wont be long till we are sailing again. Our cabin assistant David was amazing, always on hand if we needed and answered any questions we had, on the one occasion he wasnt sure about an answer he looked into it and got back to us . We dined in all but two of the restaurants. The staff in Le petit chef were attentive and very knowledgable. The whole experience along with the food was incredible. We would like to particulary recognise from Blu Miriam, Gavish and Arun and our sommilier whose name unfortunatley I didnt get, but she was amazing as they all brilliant. The couldnt do enough for us. Arun and Gavish had lots of interesting stories to tell us too while they were serving us and other customers. Nothing was too much trouble and they helped us make decisions on our food choices as there were so many wonderful options. They really are a credit to the Celebrity crew. In the Sky lounge we were welcomed from day 1 by our amazing bartenders but I would like to mention in particular Viacheslav, who was so friendly and helpful with our cocktail choices, my husband asked him to suprise him and found him the perfect drink. He also mixed me perfect mojhitos, and Pina coladas. Octav who was on his first contract with celebrity was also doing and incredible job. And my heart went out to one of the female waitressess/bartenders whos name I didnt get, but she had a couple of very rude and impatient customers within minutes of each other, which she dealt with very calmly and professionally. I work in the same type of business and I know how difficult it can be addressing rude customers. I watched on in amazement at the rudeness, whlle she conducted her job perfectly, I even told her she was doing a great job. We attended a couple of very inciteful lectures and learnt a whole lot of new and interesting things. my husband and I had a couples massage on the first day at sea in Canyon Spa, my lovely masseur Tuily knew exactly the right pressure and it truly was a blissful experience, so much so that I booked a hot stone massage with her the following week. This time just for myself but again a blissful experience. thank you. We met some new friends and learnt a lot from chatting with other passengers. Truly an amazing experience and cant wait to do it again very soon. All the staff were amazing but a special Thank You once again to: Viacheslav & Octav (Sky Lounge) Gavish, Arun, Miriam, & Our sommlier in Blu, Tuily and Jean (Canyon Spa) and David our cabin attendant.
