MSC Divina, wow where do I even begin... I got off her today, first off we got to the port on sailing day at about 10:45 this is the first cruise I have ever been on that didn’t let you get on the ship before 12 they started boarding everyone at 1-1:15 we got on the ship went to the buffet had lunch they were already out of soup some How even though we were the first ones on the boat? We then go do a tour of the ship at that point it was almost time for our staterooms to be ready I feel like they weren’t ready for us, the ship was absolutely filthy the bar staff acted as if they have never bartended before how do you not know that Bombay sapphire is a gin and not a vodka are you kidding me? The crew on this ship did not was to be there what so ever, they were extremely unhappy makes you bummed out when you save up your pennies to take this trip, my favorite thing to drink is moscato by day 3 they were completely out of it they kept telling me to get something else.. why should I have to get something else when that’s what I like to drink and you were out of it? That’s not my problem.. the MSC marine reserve(the private island in the Bahamas) was awful, the food was absolutely covered in millions of flies as well as the bars, you know how many times a fly poops? every 30 seconds! We went back to ship after an hour so for some weird reason our room attendant kept hiding our remote.. so we had to call him twice because we couldn’t find it I don’t know if he thought he was going to get some kind of tip out of It or what but it was pretty rediculous so I guess MSC is not part of any kind of sanitizing like royal Caribbean and all the other cruise lines do “washy washy happy happy” half the time there was absolutely no sanitizer in the dispenser, as well as the bathrooms had no soap most of the time so gross, btw i got off the boat today and I now have the flu and spent hundreds of dollars at the doctors today to get medicine because your cruise line doesn’t care for cleaning hands or sanitizing on that topic I saw employees let the tongs hit the floor in the buffet area and they just put them back on the buffet line not even clean them! They also let their guests grab the food with their bare hands unbelievable on to my next topic, why can you not bring a cocktail near the jacuzzi or pool? You literally pay these life guards to yell at you while your supposed to be “on vacation” and tell you can’t have a cocktail while your relaxing in the pool? Wow but children can jump and dive in the pool. The beds in the staterooms are like sleeping on plywood! We had a bulb out in our bathroom for most of the trip as well let the state room attendant know about it but he didn’t seem to care about much. The theater should probably have handrails as well I saw multiple people falling, kind of a big deal. I honestly know why this cruise was cheap they say “you get what you pay for” and I sure did get what I paid for and would never take MSC again even if someone paid me to go on it. Read Less

I sailed on the MSC Divina in early January for Jam Cruise. I was NOT impressed. When I first got to my cabin - 9218 - the room was gross. There were toenail clippings on the carpet, sand all over the couch and barely an eighth of a roll of toilet paper! I felt really gross. I had to call guest service 3 times (!) to get more toilet paper. And apparently the ship no longer gives each cabin a box of tissues! As far as the cabin is concerned, the balcony overlooks Deck 7. In order to see the ocean you had to look past the deck as well as the lifeboats. Not the best view. And the food...I am so tired of pizza after this trip. The buffet options were terribly limited. The salad bar consisted of lettuce, tomato, carrots and corn. The whole buffet experience was disappointing. The crew was constantly hovering over us to take our plates and would clean the floor for the table while I was eating there. The free restaurant was better although the service wasn’t that attentive. There also wasn’t that much to do on the boat. The ship was dated and seemed to run very warm in the interior spaces - including the cabins. As far as the ports go, we stopped at the ship’s private island in the Bahamas. The island is still under development so not all of the food options are open. It was a nice place to lay out and chill. The next port was Costa Maya in Mexico. The port itself is like most ports - lots of souvenirs that repeat themselves store after store. Note - the walk from the boat to the port is LONG. Leave time to get back on the ship. We signed up for a beach excursion at the port. For $29 that can be charged to your cabin we were driven to the beach club at Mahahual beach. While the servers were attentive, the vendors were plentiful and bothersome. But I get it - the struggle is real as is their hustle. The price of the excursion included beach chairs, umbrella and transportation to and from the beach. It went smoothly for us. In sum, I have no desire to cruise with MSC again. The ship was very basic and not worth the money in my opinion. I would cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis in a heartbeat instead. Read Less

This is the second time I have cruised on MSC Divina during New Years holiday. The first cruise in 2018 / 2019 was nice I’m not sure what happened this year because it has really gone down. Services suck, I hate to be blunt but there’s not much more I can say about it. They usually have one main waiter and an assistant but they only had one waiter waiting on four tables So dinner took hours every night. The shows were ok, the best entertainment on the boat was watching people fight over pool chairs at the pool. People would put towels on pool chairs and never sit in them all day long. We were on an 11 day cruise and by the 3 or 4 days they were running out of certain coke products, there is no excuse for this. Instead of making there frozen drinks with a blender they are using machines like they make slushies, really water down. I have children and they were with us and they look forward to ice cream machines witch they have done away them also, you have to buy and ice cream package. The friendly person that I met while I was there was the guy who took care of our cabin he did an excellent job but thats about the only good thing I can say good about MSC. You mention to the staff about problems the could care less, they always say it’s not my area you need to go talk to someone else. If you pay the difference for the yacht club plan you get service though it seems. And finally getting off of this cruise ship was a joke, I had a 17 hour drive home (Miami to Louisville Kentucky) so they offer an express line you can carry off your luggage, but I swear we waited in line for 3 hours this is no excuse for this. They had two people checking ship cards and no other ship staff was around. There was people arguing, cutting line, pushing it was mass confusion. I have taken many Carnival cruises and will be going back to Carnival for any other cruise, MSC needs to see how these other cruise lines operate and take some of there hospitality and entertainment advice.
