I was very apprehensive on booking this carnival miracle cruise because of the bad reviews I had read and also I had only cruised with NCL in the past. I had previously been on 2 cruises both on the big ships (breakaway & Epic). I found that I like the smaller ships much better. The miracle was less crowded. It has 3 pools so there was never a problem with chairs. The first morning I got up early to go find my spot thinking it would already be crowded around pool area and there were a ton of open seating. We departed from Tampa cruiseport and that experience was top notch. We got there almost 2 hrs before our scheduled time of 12:30. This port was so organized and the small line moved quickly. We did have to sit in terminal about an hour, but we got to board an hour earlier than scheduled. Win win! This ship does not have a lot of areas geared toward children. There is only one water slide and no child pool or splash pad area. We chose the anytime dining which worked out wonderful. We had the option to sit by ourselves or join a larger table to meet other guest. The waitstaff was awesome. I am amazed that by the 2nd night they remembered our names. I also loved that in the middle of dinner they would stop serving and perform a song/ dance for us! Very entertaining. I was apprehensive about the food because I had heard that NCL has much better food than Carnival, but the food was excellent. We even had prime rib and lobster included in the main dining room. I loved that they had different rare find appetizer each day. It is a great way to try foods you normally would not order out in a restaurant. I tried escargot, rabbit, frog legs and ox tongue. We loved the comedy shows and open karaoke nights. The 88 keys show was very good also. Our excursions were swim with stingrays which was awesome. I held and kissed a stingray. We also went to channabak national park in Cozumel and did snorkeling...absolutely beautiful, quiet and plenty of shaded chairs. We recieved massages on the beach. I would highly recommend this excursion. Service from our cabin person Geda was excellent, from the ice he brought daily to the cleaning of our room and the cute animal towels! Disembarkment was just as quick as embarkment. We put our suitcase out the night before. The ship started carryoff luggage disembarkment at 8 am. We were called by 9 am and through customs and ubered to Tampa airport by 10:30 am. Read Less

The itinerary was great. The ship smaller then most. But never crowded. Our cabin was great our cabin steward was wonderful. She always had fresh ice and wine glasses clean cabin and fresh sheets and bathroom immaculate. we booked an interior cabin. nothing fancy but met our needs. carnival is very good at utilizing all space to the customers benefit. Lots of room closet and drawer space. Our attendant name was Jennifer. The dining was okay. And i say okay because the buffet was not well organized. The buffet tables lacked organization for instance, the deli station with lunch meats and cheese and salads had no bread or rolls. We had to ask on several occasions where they could find basic items. The crew were fast at removing dishes from tables but not in cleaning the tables after the dirty dishes were removed. The tables were often sticky. I know they had a problem with not enough help but no one was passing water or offering teas and coffee. It was more self service then i am use to. So the food was okay. The brunch was fantastic the head waiter was attentive and the service was great. The main dining room was what i expected. The food was generally good. The late night food was better on the carnival miracle then most ships. They always had burgers fries and was open late . the pizza and ice cream were open 24 hours which was great. we like late night snacks and they were open which was a pleasant surprise to be able to get burgers at midnight. The thing that was exceptional was the comedians. The miracle had a comedy show a few times a day and always new shows the comedians were worthy of Vegas or TV. They were funny as hell. We had a great time couldn't wait for the next show. The crew made sure that we were entertained every night. They put on new shows for us. It was very entertaining YOU WILL NO BE BORED ON THE MIRACLE SHIP.. Service was typical. The excursion we took was land and sea in Roatan. Our guide took us to the animal farm. It was great . We saw the sloth's and also got to hold them . they had monkey's too. this was the highlight of my day . So in summary our vacation was great fun and carnival met their reputation as the fun ships. At least for our taste. The casino was tight so we really didn't play .I really heard a lot of yelling but no real winners . lol Read Less

This cruise line was chosen by a friend for an all-girls cruise. First, this is an older ship, in dire need of a remodel. The decor was fine, just worn. Our shower was moldy and the faucet at the sink was broken, yet functional. Only one American outlet in the entire cabin. So, bring a multi-port extension or power converter for European voltage. And, there are no power charging stations onboard. The purchased internet service is very slow and had difficulty connecting on occasion. Food was mediocre. Even the dining room food, though well-plated, was upscale cafeteria level. The entertainment was great. The Cruise Director did a great job getting passengers involved in activities. Service was also very good. The crew was eager and willing to help you with anything. The excursions were wonderful! Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly and quickly. But, don’t expect to take your time getting off the ship once it’s docked. We had to be out of our stateroom within 30 minutes of arriving in port, at 8am. I’ve been on other cruise lines, and I’ll not take Carnival again. Read Less
