Just off the Majesty this morning... Here are my thoughts! First, when rooms open at 1:00, double check you are in the correct stateroom BEFORE you start unpacking  Yes, the ship is small, but some people still had problems navigating! Yes, the staff is AMAZING!!! The ship's condition was average. I didn't see paint peeling, mold or obvious signs of wear and tear.  Deck 8, cabins 8516 and 8520 had zero problems with air, bathroom, smells, etc. The water pressure was a little weak, and the air conditioning was never TOO COLD but everything was average, no complaints! The cabins are small. Fine for 2 people, I would have struggled with 3 adults. Minimal storage space, but for a 4 night cruise, we had no problems. There IS storage space behind the vanity mirrors, and of course, under the bed. Shelves, safe and plenty of hangers in the closet. Full length mirror on door, 2 wall hooks and a drying line across the shower stall. Body wash/shampoo/conditioner mix provided in the shower, as well as a hair dryer in the vanity drawer. Shower Curtains were cloth and NOT the kind that hug you while showering! Food is all personal. I am a vegetarian, and managed to always find something tasty. Let's be honest, if "restaurant rccl" was on land, I probably wouldn't go, but while cruising, the options were plentiful and it did the job.  Entertainment was good. The shows were typical old school cruise shows. The singers and dancers were very good. The comedians were funny. BINGO ... complete rip off  They promote the "packages" but you can buy the sheets without the "extras", and make out much better! It cost $96 for 2 packages + 1 pkg free.  If we just bought the sheets, I think it would have been just $75.  Oh, and that was for just 1 round of bingo  Casino was good to me. I went once, played about 4 spins and came out 5xs ahead of my investment! Was smart enough to walk away and not return! Then had my husband cash in the voucher so i wouldn't be tempted to give it back!  The pools are small. On day 1 and the sea day they were literally filled shoulder to shoulder with people... It was "people soup" at its finest! . on the mornings of port days, we had the pools to ourselves. Plan accordingly, people!!! Boarding was a breeze! We arrived at about 10:00 and through check in within 10 minutes. Waited a bit then were on board in no time! Debarkation was equally fast! We walked off at 7:30, through customs (they do not participate in mobile passport at port everglades), waited about 15 minutes for an UBER, checked in at FLL and waiting for our flight by 8:30.  If only the weather had cooperated that day.  Our scheduled flight was delayed multiple times due to severe lightning storms.  What we had expected to be a 6 hour trip with plane change turned into a 12.5 hour trip with 4 hours spent on the tarmac!  Those are the highlights!  Being loyal to royal, almost Diamond ➕ members, who usually prefer to travel on the big ships, my companions and I agreed that we would happily sail the Majesty again!  If anyone has any specific questions, I will try to answer them! Happy sailing!!! Read Less

We chose this cruise for a family members wedding. When Cuba was cancelled, the wedding was postponed. However, because of the discount we decided to keep the date and enjoy a nice relaxing family vacation. The food and drinks on this ship were great. The only disappointment with the food was my medium well steak was like rubber and I could not cut it, other than that the food was delicious. The ship, although small, wasn't bad. It was easy to navigate around. The entertainment was great. But if you are looking for lots of activities, this isn't the ship for you, especially if you have little ones. We had the Grand 2 Bedroom Suite room # 1549. The size of the room was awesome, with lots of storage space and great perks for it being a suite. The perks of the suite are excellent from getting on and off the ship, perks in the room, special dining places, discounts and more. However, bathroom #1 is tiny and there is barely enough room to get dressed in it. I got creative and opened up the closet door in the hallway and dressed behind it. Bathroom #2 was perfect and there are two beds and one pullman bed. Great for a family. The noise level in that suite is HORRIBLE, especially if you are a light sleeper. Being behind the elevators and below a bar and seating in the pool area in addition outside noises I barely got any sleep. During the day the noises aren't a bother when you are up and about, but a majority of the louder noises start around 2:30 - 3:00 am. We did inquire about the noises because by day 3 I was a zombie. We had some ups and downs on the cruise, however, that will not stop us from cruising with Royal again. Read Less

Cuba or bust...bust....but had a great time on sea days, Key West and Nassau with changed itinerary. Full disclosure: we have been on 16 RCCL cruises including every class of ship in fleet, including Majesty years ago. We too were apprehensive going on a 22 year old ship but RCCL did not disappoint. The ship is aging well...all carpet, public rooms and our stateroom were in good shape. We are not saying the ship is of the Oasis class with all the bells and whistles but we knew that going in. We would say if someone boarded the Majesty as their very first cruise, they would be impressed. It just doesn’t feel “old”. Dining: windjammer for lunch and breakfast were what to be expected but I must add omelet station was exceptional. Omelets were not too big and way better than some past experiences. Hidden gem for lunch: Compass deli which is on 2nd floor of buffet (deck 12). Fresh made paninis and salad bar every day. Two soups and a variety of desserts and fruits. The spot was never crowded and was right next to Sorrentos so you could have a nice fresh salad with your pizza. Dining room: excellent service as we have come to expect from RCCL. Food was great but not the variety of a bigger ship. That was to be expected. Sea days: pool was very crowded. Don’t plan on swimming laps! But we could still find a spot around the pool area with patience. Schooner bar was a comfortable place to have a well made cocktail and listen to music or trivia. Boleros was a great spot too. As was Spectrum (karaoke). The service in all of these venues was excellent. Stateroom: we had an ocean view room. Yes they are smaller than newer ships but for our five night adventure, there was plenty of room. The room was clean and everything worked just fine as you would expect. Our adult daughters had a room on another floor and their room was also perfect. The cabin attendants for both rooms were attentive and did a great job. Spa: had a fifty minute Swedish massage and it was one of the best I have had and i have had numerous on RCCL. She listened to where I said the stress points were and she focused on that. Instead of an overpriced back rub, I received a very helpful massage. For early fifties with twenty-something “kids”, we found this vacation to be very fun. We were, as I am sure everyone else was, initially disappointed about the Cuba change of plans. But we sure are glad we decided to “stay the course”. We couldn’t recommend RCCL more and for this length of trip, the Majesty was perfect. Read Less
