First cruise. My wife and 2 friends came with us and we all had a great time. The food at the buffet was average but decent, what you'd expect. The food at the specialty restaurants was excellent. Service was excellent and everyone on board was very professional. You get well taken care of. All the ports were fun. The Bahamas is fantastic, Key West was great. Cuba was beautiful and full of history but where the ship docks is in the Old Havana area and is pretty rough. Don't ride on the horse pulled buggies. Use a professional service for a tour. The all-inclusive drink deal is fantastic!!!! We got a room with a balcony and it was perfect. Opened the door at night and listen to the waves, really nice. The boat is a little old but the room was much better than I thought it would be. My only complaint was the embarkation and disembarkation. They've got to figure out a better way to do that. The lines were horrible and it shouldn't take that long. Other than than, we had a great time and will do it again. Read Less

We have taken NCL before and found poor everything, mostly the food.... awful. However we traveled on the Breakaway with family and was surprised at the size of the room ( we always get a suite) and the food in the main dining rooms was excellent. So we thought that they had improved and decided to take this short trip to Cuba. It was a disaster for the price we paid. For a suite the room was very small; the shower was so small my husband was barley able to fit in it. The best he could do was squeeze in and let the water run off him. There was no music until after 7:00 on one night and after 10:00 on the rest of the 4 days. Since we like to have cocktails before dinner with music and dancing this was disappointment. They cater to the younger crowd. The dinners were awful, I was shocked. I know it's impossible to have gourmet food for 2000 people but it could be hot and tasty. Because we had a suite we were able to have breakfast and lunch in a special restaurant which save us from not eating much at night. We did go to the buffet one day for lunch and left; it was terrible. Even the pizza looked like it was sitting there for days. The worst was the tour, we were told to meet at 8:30 for our tour which we did; it was the most unorganized tour I have ever went on any ship and I have been on many. We met in the theater at 8:30 and we're on line until we finally got on the LATE bus at 10:15 for a 9:30 planned tour. We each paid $105 for a trip to a fort, then a cemetery and Castros Monument. What a waste of money. Getting off the ship was another nightmare, no organization. The announcement came over the loud speaker you could disembark and 2000 people headed for the exit. I'll leave the rest for you imagination. That is the last time we will ever travel NCL. They have no regard for their clients or do they care if you return. Read Less

The NCL Sky is on the smaller scale of cruise ships but this vessel certainly packs a punch! For a 3-4 day cruise it is perfect in size. You can learn the ship's layout quickly and it is easy to navigate to know where all the amenities such as the spa, bars, restaurants, shows etc are located. No long lines for elevators or long waits at the bars/restaurants which makes for an enjoyable experience. The staff is truly impressive and I am one who is not always easily impressed. I have cruised on NCL, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, & Princess in the USA and overseas and the SKY is the best value! The entire executive staff is visible throughout the journey and makes the rounds on the pool deck and throughout the restaurants to check in on guests and just to chat which is much appreciated and not usual on other ships. The food quality is fantastic whether it be at the Crossings restaurant on the 5th floor or one of the specialty restaurants. Great service by the wait staff and awesome food selections!!! My cabin was always extremely clean and every need was meet, every night came home to a perfect cabin....well done! Special thank you to some people that make the Sky one of the best in the NCL fleet...Ron the Hotel Director and his staff are the best of the best and go the extra nautical mile to ensure your vacation is truly a memorable one....Kudos Ron & TEAM you all should be cloned for the rest of the NCL fleet. Zimba and K were two others who I had the absolutely pleasure of interacting on a daily basis. Two of the ultimate professionals in the industry who will not let ANY little desire or need go unmet! NCL should feel proud to have you both on their team as the qualities you both exemplify are 5 Star service. Thoroughly impressed by the NCL SKY Team! THANK YOU Read Less
