This cruise was chosen for the itenery. The staff were all excellent. The entertainment was 5 stars. We were not impressed with dinner choices in main dining room. The picture is of Santorini, the most scenic of all the ports. Taken from Jade. The embarkation and debarkation went smoothly. We took the fast train from the port of Civitavecchia to Rome. Spent three days exploring Rome and sights after the cruise. The collision was crowded and every place we went was filled with tourists. We got the three day pass to ride metro and buses. Also the fast pass the enter the Vatican and systine Chapel. Everywhere we went it was a hugs amount of walking. All the Italians were friendly and helpful, when we ask for directions in English. Some spoke English and others didn't. We speak Spanish also and found they understand Spanish as many words are similar. Personally we found Rome to be quite hectic and lots of traffic. Everyone was in a hurry. Seems like they are stressed out, too much! The metro (subway) at times was packed and I felt clostrofoblc. None of the younger people get up and let older ones sit down. I am glad we went to Rome, however may not go back. I think going to Tuscany and staying there for a while would be nice. Read Less

Recommended by a friend. We enjoyed the cruise itinerary and the opportunities to visit some beautiful historical sites. The food options on board were good. We especially enjoyed the Grand Pacific Dining Room. The menu varied each day and the portion sizes were perfect. Service was great, the food was beautifully presented and deliciously prepared. The embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly every day. Many options available for shore excursions. We saw a lot of beautiful, historic sites. The staff was very friendly, cheerful, helpful, and accommodating. The room was kept impeccably clean several times a day. I would have enjoyed a heated pool better than the ambient temperature of the salt-water pool, especially after a busy day on shore to have a nice relaxing swim. This could have been affected by the time of year, being early autumn. I would be glad to take this cruise line again in the future. Read Less

Having transferred almost directly from Norwegian Epic to Norwegian Jade the contrast could not have been more amazing. The Jade crew were all happy, friendly and engaging and certainly made a monumental difference to the voyage. Jade was obviously a much happier and well run ship. Some maintenance issues with the cabin including toilet not flushing and faulty temperature control of shower. Onboard productions appeared to be focussed on artistic flair rather than entertainment. Jasmine restaurant was disappointing both food quality presentation and service. The Asian options in the buffet were better quality and taste. Specialty restaurants were a great experience and with the dining package good value for money. Did not use spa or fitness centre. Good use was made of the Bliss Lounge for activities and there are many different bar and lounge options with different feel and decor. Enjoyed the Spinnaker Lounge which was probably under utilised through most of the day and early evening Read Less
