Not long home from another great Celebrity cruise. This was our 1st Christmas/New Year cruise and we were not disappointed. Although the ship is looking tired (it’s about to get its refit ) it didn’t spoil our holiday at all. The ship was beautifully decked out with Christmas trees and lights everywhere and the crew were amazing. The ports were very good although we stayed onboard in Mumbai so I can’t comment on it personally but speaking to other guests onboard they really enjoyed their tours there. The food as always was beautiful and plentiful and the atmosphere onboard exceptional. I must give a big shout out to Marren in Cellar Masters. She greeted everyone as though they were her best friends, she remembered everyone’s favourite drink and always had a smile for us all. My husband wore his kilt on New Years Eve, (or as we call it in Scotland, Hogmanay) and she was delighted to get her photo taken with him. Can’t recommend Celebrity Cruises enough and we’re looking forward to Joining the Millennium for Vietnam/Asia cruise next. Read Less

We expected a luxury holiday, we paid a fortune for this cruise and it really and truly wasn’t worth it. We had never been with celebrity before and wouldn’t consider them again. All the sales people want are your dollars, they sell a large range of mediocre diamonds, but nothing of any use on the actual store, for example no sun tan lotion, no indigestion tablets, no newspapers, no books, they do have books for hire in the library, but some bright spark has stuck stickers’ property of celebrity cruises’ over the spine of each one, I mean when you have paid nearly 6k for a cruise, it’s unlikely you are going to steal a £3.00 paperback. The outside seats were grubby and sticky (yuk) and the food was at best average. We ate in SAN Marco 4 times and sent our meals back twice, we ate in Blu but the portions while supposedly healthy, are tiny, you are left feeling hungry. The CustomerService staff we encountered were on the whole, not that bothered, one or two of them were great, but they were in the minority. If 8 was to sum up our cruise with Celebrity in a few words, I’d say go with someone else, no wow factor with this ship, more like a glorified ferry. There were People who seemed to enjoy it but they had cabins on the lower decks and paid a lot less than we did, it was a waste of money. Read Less

I had a pretty poor X experience a few years ago on the Eclipse, the captain having to write to each cabin to apologise type of experience. I wanted though to travel the Suez Canal though and so it seemed a good time to give the X another try. it started badly though when their greeters in Rome said I wasn't on their list and went on from there. The room had used toothpicks and peoples pills in the draws while the clothes line in the shower hung at neck height and wouldn't retract, the entertainment was mostly rejects from BGT etc with even one from Star in their eyes though to be honest they were better than the staff shows, the Suez Canal commentary was read from Wiki and over in a few minutes, while the food was okay service was slow and the wait staff went on about 10s on and off for the whole cruise and a couple of my excursions were cut short as they ran out of time (a plea here if you can't walk as far as the description says please don't book that tour and if the ship takes tour bookings please put off people that obviously won't be able to do the tour). On the plus side the guest services desk was great though I did see them a lot more than I normal do and the passengers camping out in the indoor pool playing the Ukulele was actually better than the pros. The best part of the cruise was the ports. The final straw was when I got my passport back for the last time, we had to hand it in twice to find a very stuck on sticker on the picture page of my passport. No third chance. Read Less
