Cambridge is a small historic city on the banks of the Choptank River in Maryland, not far from Washington D.C. Many of the city's major attractions are clustered within its historic district, where visitors can stroll the brick-paved streets, visit Richardson Maritime Museum and Harriet Tubman Museum and simply take in its charm.
Some of the most popular attractions in Cambridge, however, are those that celebrate the river and its natural surroundings. Birdwatchers should be sure to visit the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and maritime enthusiasts should head over to Long Wharf Park to take in the dozens of boats that dock at the Cambridge Marina. Visitors can also spend time fishing -- there's even a neat reproduction of the city's old lighthouse you can visit.
