About Kandy

Surrounded by scenic mountains, Kandy is a mid-size city in Sri Lanka. Kandy has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is home to a number of sacred landmarks, including the Temple of the Sacred Tooth relic which is considered one of the holiest shrines in the Buddhist religion and the 14th century Temple of Gadaladeniya.

Cruisers can embark on hiking excursions in the surrounding mountains, take a boat tour on Kandy Lake, visit a spice garden or check out a variety of interesting and unique attractions, like the Ceylon Tea Museum or the Raja Museum, which celebrates an elephant that was considered a Sri Lankan national treasure.
