Regrettable Experience in "Cruising" All Around

In one meal, I asked for the pork (blood rare) to be cooked a bit more, and [name withheld-2] came out with what looked like a burnt offering and literally stood over me - not taking "no" for an answer - until I took a small byte.Third time was no charm, as he brought me yet another one overdone, at which point I gave up and told him it was fine - the only way to make him go away.Read More

Finally, the ship told us that we were not going to make it back to Paris and that they would provide each of us private transportation at no cost to our post cruise transit point.The ship then sailed back upriver to Vernon (which we had already seen through bus trips out of Paris) where some more ad hoc tours were thrown together at the last minute.Read More

We've already placed a deposit on our next Ama river cruise and would be hard pressed to go back to an ocean going cruise after this last experience.With two ocean cruises in our past, we were skeptical of the significant cost difference between a river and ocean cruise but soon realized you do get what you pay for.Read More
