Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

My family of four adults cruised for about 7 nights on the Western Mediterranean Cruise. Let's start with the positives: 1) The rooms: It was enough for two people to share. We were on the third deck, so it was really quiet with the ocean view. I do remember that we were advised by agents during booking that we could get just a single room for 4 people, which I believe would have been very ...

Blackpool on a boat with a side of food poisoning

Me and my fiancé are explorers at heart, so we thought a cruise would be a perfect way of seeing different places. We live for holidays, it’s what we spend all our hard earned money on. From cheap city break weekends right up to the Maldives. If I could go back in time I would!! It was dire! There was a reason we thought what a bargain at just £2000 in total. 1. It was like Blackpool on a ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

Was supposed to go to Mykonos, Souda Bay (Crete), Athens and Santorini. Bad parts: 1. Mykonos stay got replaced with Heraklion (Crete). 2. Me and my partner both got a sickness and diarrhoea bug and spent the last 3 days locked in a cabin having been told to isolate. We had no calls from the nurse to check on us, just a form to fill out which was left on the outside of our door. Once ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

Our suite was fine. Boarding and port disembarkation were outstanding. Crew was mostly very good and friendly. However, the cruise line has gone downhill. Soups, other than specialty restaurants are water. Rolls were rocks. Ice cream tasted like milky ice, couldn’t detect any vanilla flavoring. The Whiskey Bar staff was rude. One guy told me I couldn’t get a cosmo there, but I did the day before. ...

I’d probably go 3.5 stars but, that wasn’t available. We’ve been on a few RC cruises and this one was a little disappointing. The crew did not seem as enthusiastic as we are used to. The exception to thy was our steward. Nice guy who did a good job. The food was good. No issues with the room (balcony). About three days before the cruise, I tried to get our drink packages ordered. Neither ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

I was a last minute solo traveler, scoring a good deal on the NCL website. My last NCL cruise was in late 2019, so I had some basis of comparison regarding my 2019 NCL cruise on the Joy and this 2024 cruise on the Dawn. The Dawn seemed to be lacking in staff members. I saw crew members stretched really thin in both the restaurant and on board activities areas. They are also trying to ...

This was our third Silversea cruise and 23th cruise overall. We sailed on 12 different lines, including Crystal, Oceania, Azamara and more. Overall, it was a great cruise. We felt that the service was outstanding and actually improved compared to our previous SS sailings. This applied especially to breakfast and lunch buffet at La Terazza, but also in other venues. Embarkation: very smooth ...

Worst cruise we have ever been on

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Splendida

Where do I even begin. Starting with the paid cruise parking in Genoa, there were absolutely no signs or indications of where to find the entrance, except for an African American gentlemen roaming the streets near the port, stopping cars and offering to explain where the parking entrance is for monetary compensation. Next thing to note, if you don't purchase the alcohol package, the only things ...

Very Disappointed

I recently sailed on the MSC Splendida, and unfortunately, it was the worst cruise I’ve ever experienced. The crew’s attitude was far from welcoming, leaving us feeling unwelcome and frustrated. The buffet area was consistently messy. Dirty tables and unclean utensils were a common sight. It’s disappointing when basic hygiene standards are not met. It’s disheartening when such fundamental ...

Well we have just left the ship and I’m sorry to say of the worse cruises we have ever done. Our cabin was so old and dated. The furniture. was all scratched and damaged. The sofa covered in stains. We could write our name in the dust on the mirror. Spoke with the room Steward but he just laughed. The food is appalling The buffet is like a war zone people fighting to get to the food and ...
