The Good and Not so Good

Review for Norwegian Epic to Europe - Western Mediterranean

Just disembarked yesterday, so I thought I'd review while it's still fresh in my mind. Embarkation in Civi was smooth and seamless and well organized, the whole process took less than 1/2 hour. When we got to our balcony stateroom there was a strong urine smell in the toilet area, not a great first impression. Off I went to guest services, where they apologized and promised to have the ...

Worst excursion ever

First I would like to say the crew on Norwegian epic was wonderful!! Waited a year and a half just to go on my first cruise with Norwegian. We booked excursions for every port. We were so excited ! We enjoyed all our excursions until our last one to Florence and Pisa. That was the worst experience I’ve ever had on an excursion on any cruise. The tour guide was rude, she constantly put down Pisa ...

Disabled awareness lacking

Review for Celebrity Silhouette to Europe - Western Mediterranean

Unfortunately the cruise was not as good as we’d hoped and we were disappointed at how our disabled child was largely ignored. Our son is 11 and has cerebral palsy and is a full wheelchair user and cannot speak or eat but can understand. During the cruise only 4 members of staff spoke to either him or to us about him. In the main dining room our servers only asked for our names not our sons. ...

I booked this cruise as a safe option after having a couple of holidays cancelled. After the worry of getting the PCR results getting on the ship was very easy though I would advise taking hard copy of all your documents and don't depend on the apps etc for you vaccination and PCR results. The ship is okay, though I generally dislike the layout of Celeb ships. Next bit of advice is if you are ...

Perfect British Isles cruise

Review for Celebrity Silhouette to Europe - Western Mediterranean

Booked a standard double balcony - room was fine. Only slight grumble would be the lack of UK plugs, easily overcome with the loan of an adapter from Guest Relations. It's a slightly older ship so don't expect USB chargers. Embarkation was easy as were the tests. Don't forget to bring QR codes if your child had a PCR test preboarding but is not double jabbed. Easy to park right by the ...

We have done several Celebrity cruises and had two booked this summer. We cancelled the first in July (still waiting for our cruise credit) and took the sailing on the 14th 8nts booking an Aqua Class stateroom. I don’t want to ramble too much so here are my likes and dislikes. Blu Dining was fantastic, every meal top notch although the menus were dated 2018 so a refresh is needed. Staff were ...

Looking for something fun and stress-free as a way to celebrate my 50th birthday, my wife and I booked a cruise on the Norwegian Spirit over the holidays. The itinerary had us leaving Civitavecchia (port near Rome) on the 22nd, spending Christmas Eve - Christmas Day in Venice, seeing Croatia, Montenegro, Florence/Pisa, and Monte Carlo before stopping in Barcelona for New Year's Eve, then returning ...

Excellent Saga Sapphire cruise

Review for Saga Sapphire to Europe - Western Mediterranean

We joined Saga Sapphire for her Volcanic Isles cruise in November. We have cruised many times but this was our first on a Saga ship. Saga Sapphire is shortly leaving their fleet which we feel is a great shame as she is a lovely ship with comfortable public rooms and an intimate feel. For the first time in many years we booked an inside cabin and this turned out to be large with a separate ...

Review for MSC Poesia to Europe - Western Mediterranean

If you want to be treated like a criminal, discriminated against and be at risk of burning to death on the open seas, MSC is the cruise line for you! My issues started even before the cruise. As a solo traveller, and a gay man, I emailed MSC asking if they would hold an LGBT drinks event on the cruise, as nearly every other cruise line does. The email response did not address my question, so I ...
