One of the best cruises I have been on.

Review for Norwegian Gem to Caribbean - Western

My girlfriend and I were dying to get back on the ocean after the Pandemic. We had already had two cruises cancelled and this one was one of those, "let's just put a fall cruise on the books" type arrangements. Little did we know at the time, it would be our first cruise back. NCL is operating at reduced capacity with fully vaccinated crews and guests. This means, all the cruises right now ...

WE were on our 50th annivesary with Kids and grandkids .. previous two cruises were cancelled because of covid . .. The ship was not filled , so I was suprised to see we were not upgraded as we are Diamond cruisers . Entertainment was sparse , no daily shows in the Amber auditorium ... But Mama Mia was a great show with only 10% of the seats filled .. Food in the main dining room was ...

Disappointed

Review for Carnival Breeze to Caribbean - Western

This was the worst Carnival cruise I have been on. The embarkation process was a little long, but I think that is the same for most cruises. Once on board, everything seemed to be perfect. We put our belongings away and headed to the muster station for the safety drill. We then changed into swimsuits and headed to the pool, ready for a cocktail and some R&R. When we ordered our drinks, we were ...

Beware of Allure of the Seas

We recently returned from a Cruise on Allure of the Seas and were so disappointed, that I wanted to warn others. I am generally a fan of Royal Caribbean, versus other cruise lines, as they always seemed to me to be the cream of the crop in terms of quality. This time, not so. Be forewarned, if you are taking kids under 12, who have not been vaccinated for COVID with you, your participation ...

I had a cruise scheduled for November and decided I couldn't wait until then to cruise and booked this one since it would fall on my birthday. It was originally supposed to stop at Labadee and Jamaica, but instead it was changed to Costa Maya, Cozumel and Coco Cay. After a long time of not cruising, it didn't matter. I just wanted to be on a ship on the ocean. I travel solo and decided to ...

Norwegian Cruise Line Isn’t Ready For Cruises

Review for Norwegian Gem to Caribbean - Western

I debated writing this review for sometime for so many reasons. The one thing that can summarize this review is that Norwegian Cruise Line Isn’t ready. They aren’t ready to sail after COVID 19. I just got back yesterday from a 7 night cruise to ports in Belize, Cozumel, Honduras and Costa Maya on the Norwegian Gem. This cruise was by far my worst experience with any cruise line. I love cruising ...

We disembarked 2 weeks ago today on 10.03.21. I wrote another review from our 1st cruise on NCL Gem after we disembarked on 09.05.2021. It was such a wonderful ship and cruise that I have to write another review. We did the Western AGAIN. We've sailed on NCL Sky, Escape, Epic and 2 times on Gem since our kids bought us our 1st sailing as a Christmas gift on Sky in 2017. I believe we are ...

Best onboard cruise experience ever!

Review for Celebrity Summit to Caribbean - Western

This was about our 15th cruise, 4th Celebrity and 2nd time on the Summit. As far as the actual onboard cruise experience, it was absolutely fabulous! There were only 247 passengers on ship that accommodates about 2,500, with a crew of 700+. Our captain kept calling it our "private yacht the Summit" and that's how it felt. There were no crowds, no lines and service was excellent! If you made ...

Focusing on Covid precautions, Diamond/Platinum check in, and a little other stuff

Review for Carnival Breeze to Caribbean - Western

This was a test cruise for Covid-19 cruising. Masks were definitely worn by everyone, they really check your physical vaccine card, and the Covid test verification for your name to match your passport, vaccine card, and test. We knew they weren’t going to have priority boarding, but they easily could have, at least for Diamond level, there were only 23 of us and some were already on board. ...

Food not worth the trip

Review for MSC Divina to Caribbean - Western

Food on the ship was horrible, breakfast at the buffet was always cold and the burger at lunch was cold and had a wet bun. Now the good great ship and the staff was always nice and helpful my cabin was clean and well taken care of. The ship did go dead in the water between Ocean Cay and Mexico with the captain saying there would be a short delay it took about an hour to get the ship moving again. ...
