Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Silver Spirit

Have traveled with Silversea on over 20 cruises now, on most of the ships. The last time we traveled this ship was Christmas 2018. Only 4 stops, so most were sea days, however lack of any 'activites' most days and only 1 day where we were provided with an 'extra' food offering on pool meant our group were rather bored. La Terezza has stopped providing a 'restaurant' drink to start the meal and ...

Silversea decline in service

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Silver Shadow

We boarded Silver Shadow on 17th April 2019 in Mumbai for a 9 day cruise visiting ports in India, Oman and UAE. We chose Silver Shadow as we had sailed on her in 2016 in Alaska. In 2016 the ship truly lived up to its 6 star rating in all respects. Comparing the latest trip with the 2016 trip I am sorry to say that Silversea has lost much of its reputation. The only standards that haven't ...

We cruised from Venice to Dubai via the Suez Canal for seventeen nights in an inside cabin, mid-ships, on a re-positioning cruise with MSC in November 2018. We have cruised before but this was our first experience of MSC. Facts The passengers were predominantly Italian, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese with a minority of British. There were two European and two US electrical ...

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Mariner of the Seas

Chose this cruise for its repositioning itinerary. Prior to this cruise, the ship had been on short (3-4 day) gambling junkets out of Singapore targeted at Chinese passengers. Senior staff appeared not to have adapted policies and procedures for a longer cruise (15-30 days). (Some food items ran out early; insufficient recorded movies for the duration, daily charges were more appropriate for ...

We did this cruise because of the ports .. great ports .. but as soon as you go on board you are offered a glass of champagne but while you may be drinking your champagne you are hounded to buy packages .... drink packages .... specialty dining packages .... I did not buy packages because they were very over priced we did go to 2 dining rooms and value for money they were very overpriced .... ...

DUBAI TO YOKOHAMA MSC SPLENDIDA CRUISE SUMMARY AND COMMENTS We recently went on the above cruise during the month of April 2018. I would like to make a few comments about what we found good and what we found not so good on the cruise. As this was our fourth cruise with MSC we are in a position to compare and comment on what we found. Hopefully my comments will be of some assistance to MSC ...

What has happened to Cunard.—— 63 days Sydney to Southampton

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

This is our fifth cruise on the Queen Mary 2 and this last trip was 63 days long and I really think they have lost sight on what sort of ship they are trying to have. Refinement seems to have disappeared and has been replaced with indifference. There is no contact in Sydney and speaking to someone in the Phillipines about a problem in Brisbane could not be resolved as the person on the other end ...

To visit Petra in Jordan,The Celebrity Constellation is definately not 5Star ,Modern ,orLuxury as Advertised.the ship is tired throughout .Dining in the San Marco restaurant was slow and dark due to a number of broken and missing lamps, every course ordered took around thirty minutes to arrive, when on the 8.30 sitting most nights it was not unusual to leave after 11.00pm. What is described as a ...

This is such a tatty old ship! So disappointed! Embark action was a joke!! Took hours..then when we finally got on board the restaurants and bars all closed for the safety briefing..I appreciation that the briefing is essential but so is getting water when the temp is 33 degrees! Poor hygiene and poor standards. Public bathrooms blocked and overflowing everywhere and then out of order for days! ...

We have cruised before many times, an expensive error was assuming QM2 & Cunard would prove an upmarket ship&cruise, although the entertainment average, the food in the Britannia Rest.nothing short of a disaster @ all times many cold meals replaced on request only to have the same again, some tables all meals sent back ,dress code for the Australian Port of calls dubious¬ policed, sad for passengers ...
