First time with the Queen Mary 2 doing SYD-SIN. We have been with Royal Carribean Allure of the Seas and Aida Blue. First time coming in we have visited the pursers office to ensure we don't get charged their hefty daily room service charge.. then next day the charges were applied to our room... anyways we got this fixed right away by visiting them.. no worries. We were charged again though ...

Very disappointing

Review for a Africa Cruise on Silver Spirit

We booked this back-to-back (31 day) cruise over a year ago. The itinerary took us to ports we’d never been before - Madagascar, Mauritius, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Dubai - and we’d had such a wonderful experience on the Moon a year ago that we were looking forward to a repeat, which of course did not happen. This was our 63rd cruise, but only our 3rd - and most likely our last - on Silversea. Our ...

Never again Norwegian

Review for a Africa Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

We chose this cruise because of the Indian Ocean and east Africa itinerary knowing the ship was older but refurbished in 2021 and 4 star rated. The rating should be 2 or 3 star at best and here is why- Main dinning room food options while well prepared, were limited, no lobster, no escargot, no prime rib. We found it dumbed down and nothing special. The ship is tired and quite ...

Pretty Disappointing

This was our 5th Silversea Cruise and we choose it for the Itinerary. First time on the Spirit, embarkation was good, cabin great as usual. The problems started when because of Jet Lag we woke up at 3am, no internet or Tv working. This went on for 3 days. I even asked if we could move cabins and was asked" why is TV so important to you?" Wowzers, Wasnt expecting that..I said its not important ...

Glorified Repositioning Cruise at Passengers’ Expense

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

User Avatar

While there are many rusted on Regent Seven Seas (RSS) cruisers who’ll forgive any sin, beware if you don’t fall into that category. RSS is for you if you’re happy with average casino/club food masquerading as fine dining, stage troupe shows a high school would be embarrassed to put on, & a patronising juvenile approach to passenger announcements/liaison that’s more fit for a kindergarten than ...

Cruise itself ok but terrible service from cruise consultants

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Silver Spirit

The door to door service and cruise itself was fine. The chosen ports were nice destinations. Also, the staff onboard is friendly and engaging. The food in the restaurants is ok, drinks at the bar are good, wine selection OK. entertainment is also fine. We didn’t see our butler very often. Last minute changes on excursions was not very well organised and deviating information was given to ...

VESSEL GOOD BUT AFTER SALES SERVICE POOR!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Splendida

We chose this cruise as part of a package tour of Egypt and jumped at the chance to (hopefully) enjoy the cruise atmosphere as well as visit Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Unlike other cruises we have undertaken, the food was average at best, with the buffet very underwhelming. Where we really struck poor service and very poor responses was where there were agreed refunds for things like cancellation of ...

Mariner is not in good shape - needs an overhaul big time!

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

Dining rooms had repetitive menus for five months, the two specialty restaurants Prime 7 & Chartreuse never changed the menus. All dining rooms were chronically understaffed which meant long waits for food to be taken and then dishes cleared. Newly hired staff had little to no idea of what exactly they were responsible for - we repeatedly waved down staff for a refill of water and wine with our ...

Underwhelming Experience with Silversea Cruise

Review for a Africa Cruise on Silver Spirit

Silversea is promoted as – and to some degree is – a luxury cruise line with medium sized vessels (which translates to fewer passengers), attractive destinations for the more mature and experienced traveler, and inclusive options including shore excursions, wine and spirits, and gratuities. Just the cruise I was looking for after experiencing several crowded, cities on the seas with buffet dining ...

20 Day cruise from Barcelona to Singapore via Suez Canal The Queen Elizabeth is a decent cruise ship and we had a room (although tiny shower cubicle) and balcony, but like many US owned Cruise lines costs on board are significant eg - Average to poor wifi £18 per day, drinks package £65 each per day (need to have for whole cruise), wine from £35 per bottle, G & T around £12, beer around £7. ...
