Good food, nice ship but a bit elderly

Review for Saga Sapphire to France

We wanted a short cruise just to try it out - and without kids squawking so we chose Saga. Saga supplies door to door transport - very poor on the way there with a bad driver who nearly got us involved in a major accident but good on the way back. Luggage transfer is smooth - once it is in the car you won't have to haul it around anywhere. We had a balcony cabin - not worth it on the ship as the ...

This was our first ever cruise. We chose the 4 nights trip from Southampton to Zeebrugge and then the trip to St Peter Port (Guernsey) returning to Southampton. We upgraded to deck 11 and had a lovely balcony in a luxurious state room. Our room number was 11074 and we were travelling with family who had rooms 11070 & 11064. We found the service and the facilities perfect. The crew were exceptional ...

Having travelled on the Saga Ruby a few years ago to the Baltics, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to the much smaller ship, Saga Pearl 11. Our trip was for four nights and we wondered if this would be long enough to get the taste for sailing again. We need not have worried. The Saga arranged taxi, was on time and we were in Dover mid afternoon. The staff on arrival were efficient and ...

This review is written from the perspective of long-time cruisers on “mainstream” lines who decided to try a “luxury” line cruise aboard Crystal Serenity. The question with which we’d always wrestled was, “Is it worth it?” While the answer obviously depends in large part on how much you can and want to pay. However, for those who can spend the money, the question is whether they should. We would ...

We have just got back from a 4 day mini cruise with Adventure of the Seas. While i know that everyone has varying degrees of taste and different things make things enjoyable, i really disagree with some of the harsh reviews on here. Cabin - clean - to OCD standards of clean, towel animals daily. Yes the bed was hard and i really didnt sleep well, but im sure had i raised it with the cabin ...

The cruise itself was awesome. I was the second-youngest onboard at 52 but I fit right in. Loved the staff, the food. The itinerary was jam-packed. The downside of this trip is as follows: Avalon seemed to book all 120 passengers from all over the globe on milk-run flights with stopovers and connecting flights to Paris taking as long as 10 hours. They changed our flight in Canada at the last ...

We sailed on Celebrity Infinity on September 18. This was our 2nd Celebrity cruise and it was much better than the first one last year to Canada/New England on the Summit. We arrived at Harwich port and were very quickly checked in and our way to the Café for lunch. We then roamed around the ship until it was announced that cabins were ready. When we got to our cabin, we met our cabin steward and ...

A taster cruise you would think would sell the cruise to potential customers, not this one. We travelled in a group of 14, many had done the taster cruise before, cruised with Royal Carribean and cruised with other companies. Lets get the compliments in first. The Ship is lovely, plenty of different areas and plenty to do. Having said that there was some rust issues in the central pool which ...
