Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

On the ship now and grateful we only have a few more days. For my family of 5, this has been a terrible experience. We took our 14 year d daughter to the clinic to make sure she didn’t have appendicitis and got a bill for $2,500!! All they did was a simple blood and urine test and told us it would cost $149 for her to be seen. Also, the food has been below average to average at best. The ...

Silver Sea NEVER AGAIN!

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Silver Spirit

We just got off the SilverSea Spirit, from Lisbon to Southampton, our fourth and DEFINITELY our LAST time on SilverSea.. Physically the boat needs to be gutted; it is dated and ugly. The carpeting throughout is old and worn. The furniture is probably as old as the carpeting. Aesthetically, it wasn’t pleasing when everything was new and now it is ugly, dated and way past its prime. My family goes ...

Never again.

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

Let’s start with embarkation. So old school we had a princess grill suite and expected priority embarkation as promised. Well yes you get to jump the massive que outside the terminal only to get stuck in a que inside the terminal where you have to do old school manual and painful checking. Next you then have to wait in a seating area before you are allowed to board the ship. When you ...

Crystal symphony Riviera Cruise

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Crystal Symphony

The ship is lovely and the suite was spacious and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. The housekeeping staff did a terrific job as our room was always impeccably clean. The butler seemed stretched too thin; was unable to help with unpacking. The food was very good. Not exceptional but very good. The service at the buffet was excellent; best we’ve ever experienced at a cruise buffet. The ...

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Viking Idun

This is definitely the best way to see several cities in a shorter period of time (without packing and unpacking). I personally would prefer to spend more time exploring each port on my own in order to get a feel for each town. The servers and cabin attendants were fantastic. One HUGE negative was the total miscommunication of where the ship was docked for embarkation. That really put a negative ...

Celebrity Loyalists Try Royal

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

As noted in the title. My wife and I are Celebrity people, but the itinerary finally created our first trip on Royal. Also, we are empty nesters not traveling with children. Keep these two factors in mind since they heavily influence our opinion. Overall - Great cruise, great trip, and a great time. Would do Royal again but will lean towards Celebrity. We did have an itinerary change due ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Ventura

User Avatar

We were a bit afraid of traveling as we heard about the norovirus bug going on on Ventura on the previous trip before ours. We received an email from P&O advising us that boarding was running 4 hours behind so we needed to get to the terminal 4 hours after our original boarding time. As we do not live anywhere close to Southampton, we decided to leave early, and due to the fact we got to ...

Hey travel fam, Mahendra and Jayshree here spilling the tea on our recent P&O Ventura cruise from May 25th to June 1st, 2024! Buckle up for some laughs (and maybe a few groans). Embarkation Shenanigans: Let's just say "organised chaos" doesn't even begin to describe it. Thanks to a norovirus outbreak on the previous cruise, embarkation was a nightmare. We ended up losing a whole day thanks to ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

User Avatar

10+ Cruises • Age 60s

12-Day Baltic Cruise -NCL Dawn- May 2024 Le Havre —->Stockholm Passengers were a captive audience at the mercy of ludicrously overpriced ship shore excursions if you wanted to visit anywhere. NCL wanted $500/per person for a few hours visit to Berlin! Norwegian offers no port talks, no local city maps, no information about port transportation to and from city centers offered. You are on ...

Not The Best Cruise We've Had

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Caribbean Princess

User Avatar

Boarding We were on board within 15 minutes of arriving at the terminal. No one asked to see my boarding card which Princess insists you have on their App. Stateroom The décor is dated but acceptable, sadly the room only had one uncomfortable ‘daytime’ chair, the shower had no hot water for the first three days – this was reported to the stateroom attendant & guest services 3 times. I ...
