Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Silver Endeavour

SarasotaPro
First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

Booked this 15 day Antarctic Bridge cruise. Chose to go in style and booked the Grand Suite - not cheap. Had problems from the start of the cruise - took us two extra days due to apparent weather to get to Antartica so we missed 2 days on the ship. one couple was on their third attempt to do this cruise - cancelled 2x before. After we disembarked the ship was also delayed for 1 day before ...

Words cannot descibe Antarctica

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Silver Cloud Expedition

Baggysmum
2-5 Cruises • Age 70s

Silver Cloud has an amazing crew in all departments. Our cabin was well-appointed and comfortable, the restaurants were very good, front desk very helpful. The Expedition team were superb, and great fun too. An expedition cruise has a different vibe to a trip cruise. It is full of anticipation and excitement and every day can change from the immediate itinerary owing to weather, wildlife and other ...

This was our first cruise on Silversea. We were on the Silver Wind for18 nights (roundtrip from Puerto Williams) to Falkland Islands, South Georgia Island and the Antarctic Peninsula. What We Really Liked * Butler service was outstanding * The Restaurant Dining Room waiters were excellent (most, but not all) * The activities host did an outstanding job with trivia, name that tune, ...

Easy trip to Mexico

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Silver Wind

This cruise departed out of San Diego which made it really nice for us. We up graded to a suite and it was excellent. The itinerary was not very exciting but we were looking for a laid back cruise. This was our third expedition cruise with Silver Sea and they lived up to their high standards. The ship itself was very nice and the staff was outstanding. Our butler did a great job and went above and ...

Essentially a reposition cruise, Artic to Antarctic. At sea days punctuated with short drive-by visits to out-of-the-way locations where there little to see or do.

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Silver Cloud Expedition

mongoose1951
6-10 Cruises • Age 70s

This was essentially a reposition cruise, Artic to Antarctic, but was not advertised as such. Ship is old and very much showing her age, significant water leak into observation lounge during rain storms, several cabins flooded due to air conditioning leaks, many areas of ship were quite warm on hot days. Too many stops, for too little time at each stop, focus was on quantity not quality. At ...

Fantastic Trip on the Endeavour

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Silver Endeavour

6-10 Cruises • Age 60s

In 2012 we went to Antartica for 18 days on the Explorer with SilverSeas. It was a dream trip with perfect weather and a stellar focus on safety. My husband is a geologist so the Arctic was his dream trip. On this trip the weather was not in our favour and the Arctic is a different beast which we know as Canadians. In South Georgia and the Antartic you cn get very close to the Penguins and other ...

Cruised from Iceland to the southern part of Greenland, and then around the southern coast of Greenland. Crew provided outstanding service both with the stateroom and the dining room. Expedition staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. I've been on this ship twice, and was very pleased on both trips. Captain is very efficient and careful. Food was excellent, and you don't experience the ...

So Disappointing! Don't Trust Silversea!

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Silver Endeavour

Nancy Ke
2-5 Cruises • Age 60s

I booked 2 cruises back to back for $27055. What was to be a memorable experience turned into a expensive, huge disappointment. Silversea cancelled 14 of the 25 destinations and highly modified 2 additional destinations to where there was no enjoyment. SO DISAPPOINTING! They cancelled due to ice, swells, fog and polar bears. This is the Arctic right. They advertise "Our expedition ships sail ...

Great small ship experience

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Silver Wind

We recently returned from a 12 night cruise on Silver Wind. This was our second Silversea Cruise and first expedition cruise. We chose this cruise as the ports were less travelled and looked interesting. We took the port to port option which included a night in a hotel in both Helsinki and Hamburg and transfers from/to the hotels . Both hotels were excellent and well positioned for sight seeing, ...
