Good cruise, but will probably go back to Carnival
"Not Royal's fault obviously, but many cruise lines have excursions meet on the ship to go ashore as a group. One passenger was looking for a lost luggage on the second day and it wasn't clear which ship it was on...."Read More

Ovation of the Seas, not great

We just went on the RC Ovation of the Seas for an Alaska cruise, here is our review. Pros: Our dining room servers John and Rex were amazing, very attentive and personable, A+ for them, same for our room steward Xammhie. She was very attentive, took care of whatever we needed, also an A+. Cons: the food in the dining room was not good. For example I ordered fried chicken for American night, ...

A Well Enjoyed 50th Birthday Trip on Ovation

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ovation of the Seas

This was our first cruise in 10 years and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Full disclaimer - 30 days before the sail date there was a change in itinerary where Sitka was replaced with Victoria, BC. This seemed to upset quite a few people we encountered. We knew of the change a month before so personally had time to adjust. There was also a medical evacuation on the cruise prior which resulted in a ...

Boring, poor leadership, understaffed

My 3rd royal Caribbean cruise was such a disappointment. They cut 1 of the only 2 stops on a 10 day cruise. No refund no alternative activities. 80% of the activities where just shopping advertising. Pickle ball court is only 3 courts so good luck getting the court for the 90 min it was open during breakfast. The only fun activity bumper cars was also scheduled during breakfast or dinner or main ...

If you spend more money, then the food was good. -Wait staff:5 -Entertainment:1 poor class, sexual, embarrassing, not family friendly -Rm Steward:1 didn't clean rm after last cruise and said that she'd like to see me clean all the rooms in the time she gets. ~ We were friendly and asked if she was finished, so that we could enter our ...

Sad Ending

My experience started off very well but began to wain at the end. My wife and I were not met at the airport by one RC staff but by three for an individual transport to the ship's terminal. Boarding had no exceptional delays. We retrieved our luggage ourselves from the stewards area as it had not been placed for us at the designated time. We had been in the same clothes for 28 hours and needed a ...

Wonderful! I should mention that I'd only give five stars if I'd be willing to do the same trip again immediately! Stateroom; DH and I booked a balcony cabin on Deck 13. Deck 13 has an awning above which limits your photography when you're in the Sounds (I've mentioned this on another post). We didn't find it a problem really, just went up to Deck 14 for extra pics. The cabin had the bed by ...

One of the best Holidays

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Ovation of the Seas

Travelled on this holiday with my husband and 2 teenage daughters. We have cruised before but not with RC and have travelled extensively overseas. This holiday sits at one of the best holidays! The checkin process was very easy and we found ourselves on the boat earlier than expected. The holiday started immediately! Despite the boat being at full capacity during the duration of the whole ...
