A Sweet Suite Trip

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Aurora

Our second mini cruise with P&O spending some non-refundable credits. Together with ROL, our preferred agents, we'd worked out how to best spend our credits and on this one we were able to book the Mayflower suite on B deck. Our first suite on a P&O ship although we'd regularly sailed with Fred Olsen in their Premier Suites. We were on a three night hop over to Zeebrugge near the lovely town of ...

Arvia AVOID

What was supposed to be a lovely holiday turned into an experience that I couldn’t wait to end. The food is truly terrible, this isn’t my first P&O cruise but it will definitely be my last. The staff on board look so unhappy and will avoid eye contact so they don’t have to speak. Now this does not apply to everyone but definitely the majority. I’ve lost count the number of people I’ve spoken ...

Much better than expected.

Firstly, this is my first cruise and I’d rate it as 4.5 however obviously I have nothing else to compare it to. 95% of elements either met or exceeded what I was expecting. The food was surprisingly good, especially The Quality in the restaurants and the prices weren’t overly pricey for drinks etc. The room was amazing we thought, we thought the walls would be paper thin but that ...

Never again

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

User Avatar

Was supposed to go to Mykonos, Souda Bay (Crete), Athens and Santorini. Bad parts: 1. Mykonos stay got replaced with Heraklion (Crete). 2. Me and my partner both got a sickness and diarrhoea bug and spent the last 3 days locked in a cabin having been told to isolate. We had no calls from the nurse to check on us, just a form to fill out which was left on the outside of our door. Once ...

Blackpool on a boat with a side of food poisoning

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

Me and my fiancé are explorers at heart, so we thought a cruise would be a perfect way of seeing different places. We live for holidays, it’s what we spend all our hard earned money on. From cheap city break weekends right up to the Maldives. If I could go back in time I would!! It was dire! There was a reason we thought what a bargain at just £2000 in total. 1. It was like Blackpool on a ...

Excellent value for money

We felt we got everything we expected (and indeed, wanted). Embarkation and disembarkation was efficient. We had to wait for our room as they were doing a deep clean due to illness on board. P&O staff were doing a good job of maintaining hygiene standards throughout our week. Our cabin was spacious and we loved the layout and mirrors! The cabin bathroom is a bit tired. Shower cabin needed ...

Our honest cruise review. For background, i have done 142 nights at sea on cruises since 2008. We were allocated a fabulous cabin in a great location, it was right at the start of the corridor so no long walks from the stairs or the lifts and perfect for skydome, taste 360, the horizon and the epicurean and crows nest was only up one flight of stairs so again very quick from the bar to the ...

Suite Disappointment

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arcadia

It was a special occasion so we decided to upgrade to a suite for a cost of over £1200 for three nights . Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment, the room itself was very nice but the bathroom was not as advertised, it stated and still does that it has a whirlpool bath, I’m afraid this is not the case as it’s just a standard bath in a bathroom designed for a disabled person with a shower in a ...

Apart from the slow embarkation due to norovirus on previous cruises our cruise was excellent. Our highlights were the food and entertainment. I highly recommend all the speciality restaurants our favourites been Epicurean and Sindhu where the food and service in both were outstanding. The crepe suzette was unbelievable cooked in front of us WOW. The 3 shows from the headliners were ...

An Enjoyable Cruise on a smaller ship.

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arcadia

Our first cruise on Arcadia, the smallest ship we have been on so far. First impressions - the Atrium is quite compact not the wide sweeping staircase one sees on the newer ships, that said fine by me. As it was a very short cruise we opted for an inside cabin Deck 8 forward. Three wardrobes !! including shelf space, cabin clean and tidy, no wear and tear at all. The bathroom seemed slightly ...
