Château Margaux barrel room. Very special tasting.

My sister celebrated her 71st Birthday on the ship - the cabin team helped make her day extremely memorable! We were all "over the moon" surprised! Never been on a Cruise line that went to this extent before!!! Well done Oceania!

Good, yet not the best experience.
"Another thing that kind of ticked me off was the general attitude of the Cruise Director, and Assistant Cruise Director.Other than these few, yet important, points: it was a good cruise...."Read More

Disappointing trip with high expectations

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

User Avatar

Booked direct and was very disappointed. Representative did not provide room with balcony which we requested. No inquiry about trip insurance but her paperwork said we declined, not true. Dining was good but expected better food. Did get lots of fish and seafood which were very good; but steak meals were a disappointment. Specialty restaurants were a let down on food quality. At specialty ...

This was a great cruise! The meals were excellent at the Red Ginger, Terrance Cafe, and AquaMar. AquaMar was our favorite place to have our breakfast and lunch. This should be on every ship and in a bigger space. The fresh fruit, veggie juices, and healthy options were tasty and filling. Some people shared they never had food like this and enjoyed the food and specialty coffees. Our favorites were ...

Oceania offered $800 nonrefundable shipboard credit. The morning of disembarkation, they leave a statement in your room. My statement showed ”unused $800 nonrefundable credit” as a charge to my account and billed my card on file for it. The ship admitted that this was a mistake (as we clearly had enough onboard spending to cover it) but said nothing can be done onboad, must handle through guest ...

Mostly good, but not great

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Marina

Our first Oceania Cruise was enjoyable, but not at the luxuary level we were led to expect. The good: Service, Cabin amenities, excursion quality, Public areas, specialty restaurants. The disappointing: Main dining room food, lack of sufficient excursions, limited drink package, overpriced cocktails, tiny shower and dated bathrooms (Veranda level). Embarkation was handled efficiently ...

Our Marina experience

This was my 3rd Oceania cruise with my family. I have previously sailed several times on Regent. We had a very good trip with an interesting and varied itinerary. I would have rated the experience excellent except for a few items. The food in the dining room is somewhat hit or miss and could be improved . The food in the specialty restaurants was consistently good except The Polo Grill where every ...

Need an App!

We loved Oceania Marina. First time sailing with Oceania. Food was fabulous, and the staff super friendly. The only drawback is they do not have an app, so communication is archaic and difficult. Wine selection for the Simply More package is disappointing. Was hoping for more European wines since we were in Europe. The Oceania excursions were hit and miss. It pretty much depends on how ...

Our 1st Oceania Cruise

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Marina

User Avatar

Excellent 12-day cruise aboard the Marina. The cruise met all our expectations except for some of the shore excursions which in my opinion went too deep into the historical details of the place vs. giving us time to freely experience/roam around/shop on our own. The ship's crew was very attentive to all our request and the smaller ship size was a very nice change from the larger cruise ships. The ...

Ship straight out of partial refit. Poor rating due to food issues, especially bad given its sells itself as best cuisine at sea. No mention of special diets (no/low salt, kosher/halal, no/low sugar etc). Tinned fruit in syrup for breakfast, so much added salt to veg, including hummus that it became inedible. No vegetarian or vegan menus. Some nights no vegetarian option at all, just one vegan, ...

Overall enjoyable with a few improvements

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Marina

Check in was handled well. Our room, a Veranda suite was well appointed, with a surprising amount of storage. Our room steward, Casmuni, was a very friendly personable fellow. Always greeted us with a smile and went out of his way to assist anyway he could. (even got me the Canadian news flyer every day). We researched cruises to see who had the best rated food. Oceania won hands down. The ...

Almost A Great Cruise

We boarded the ship for the last 10 days for the "Charismatic Mediterranean" portion from Barcelona to Trieste. We were disappointed in some of the ports. At the last minute, Oceania changed the Marseilles port to Palamos, Spain, which was a nice enough port but we were looking forward to a glimpse of France and Palamos turned out to be a lot like Barcelona...just smaller. The two ports in Greece ...
