Great way to explore Alaska!
"Finally, the deck 5 lecture hall/meeting room was a bit TOO cozy- there were several group gatherings per day in that room and by the end of the cruise there were 11 confirmed COVID cases. One of our fellow passengers called our trip "expedition lite", with several days where we could get out on kayaks and zodiacs and actually see the wilderness up close and personal with a guide who knew where to go and what to look for...."Read More

Didn't feel valued

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ocean Victory

CFI
10+ Cruises • Age 60s

We wanted to love this trip, but we will never sail with American Queen Voyages again. The destination, Southeast Alaska, is beautiful, and the mix of shore and water sight-seeing was good. Leadership and management of AQV is abysmal, the worst we’ve ever encountered in the travel industry. We travel a lot and are veteran cruisers, having traveled on 12 cruises with four other cruise lines. The ...

Great way to explore Alaska!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ocean Victory

OK, please bear in mind that this was our first cruise ever. It was a birthday/anniversary gift to ourselves so we were open to paying a bit more. We were looking for a trip with a smaller number of passengers (Ocean Victory has a max of around 180) and a ship that could go to areas the big ships cannot. We also wanted to focus on seeing and learning about Alaska: scenery, wildlife, history, ...

Not worth the Money, would never go again

Review for a U.S.A. Cruise on Ocean Victory

Hmmm, hard to know where to begin. Embarkation was 2 hours late, we were told a mishap on the locks leading into Lake Ontario caused the ship to be delayed. Okay, I'll buy that one. The ship was 2 hours late going through the Welland Canal, and then another half hour delayed due to a medical issue with an elderly passenger. The Captain insisted on leaving Port Colborne on time, even though ...

Rugged Alaska, enjoying the unimaginable

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ocean Victory

Yukonharbor

Picture yourself on your first cruise exploring the inside passage of British Columbia and Alaska on a vessel that makes very little noise and even better responds to wave motion with state of the art stabilizers to keep you safe as you roam this beautiful ship. Our balcony cabin possessed all the amenities of home and our cabin steward, Julio ensured our comfort and safety in his daily cleaning ...

A Cruise for a Nature Lover

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ocean Victory

ehaydis
6-10 Cruises • Age 20s

This expedition cruise was a gift for my graduation with a degree in Marine Science and it could not have been a more apropos adventure. Being that it is such a small ship, it truly felt that the crew did everything in their power to provide the trip that you wanted. The excursions were created with the local culture, history, and nature in mind. All the excursions that we went on were relaxed, ...
