Review for a Europe - Greek Isles Cruise on Celestyal Journey

We selected this cruise line strictly for the “floating hotel” aspect between the Greek Islands. The stops were Thessaloniki, Kusadasi, Crete, Santorini, Mykonos, and Milos. Celestyal wins the length of time at port game. We were in Santorini from 7:00am - midnight and Mykonos from 8:00am - 2:00am. For our mediocre expectations, the ship was great. Our cabin was on deck 6 and was quite nice. I ...

I was concerned about Celestyal cruises given so many bad reviews. Nevertheless we chose the 7 day idyllic Greek cruise because it not only went to fabulous places, but also stayed in Santorini & Mykonos past midnight. For the most part we were way more impressed than we expected. We chose a junior suite on deck 9 which gave us the option to dine in a separate dining room just for the suites ...

Blown Away how good this cruise was.

Went with low expectations and we were blown away how good this cruise was. So good that we plan returning next year for a Croatia cruise. Cruising with this line reminds me of the old cruise days and not corporate. We had a fantastic time! The staff, crew and entertainment team were absolutely excellent in service. We got to Port in Greek Island of Milo's which very few cruise lines do. Turkey ...

I am writing this review to share some information with people making a decision on a Greek Isles Cruise. While I thoroughly enjoyed my week aboard the Journey, it is not for everyone. This cruise is for you if you like: -A smaller ship--never took more than 3 minutes to get anywhere from our cabin -Port experiences--lots of time in ports, with the exception of Kudasi, where I wish we ...

I wanted to like this cruise line. I really did. Celestyal is a small independent line that specializes in Greece and the eastern Mediterranean. I was hoping that their specialization would result in local knowledge and that the crew on a smaller ship would be adept at paying attention to the details. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met as well as I had hoped. It was the details that were ...

Positives: Excellent value for money. Housekeeping superb. Friendly bar staff. Very comfortable beds. Some lovely bars on deck 8 and nice general restaurant (Thalassa) on deck 7 Negatives: General issue onboard with regards to hygiene, half of hand sanitizers consistently empty, concerning when there was plenty of coughing and sneezing onboard. Problem with A/C in room ...

Itinerary Too Good to be True

Review for a Europe - Greek Isles Cruise on Celestyal Discovery

Having cruised a dozen or so times with several lines, we decided on Celestyal for a short 4 night cruise out of Lavrion. The itinerary was the selling point along with the timing- my daughter's Spring Break kept us locked into a specific week. We knew it probably would be a step down from the Holland Americas of the world but figured the islands visited would make up the deficit. When we booked, ...

Summary of the Celestyal Journey cruise (14 days 3-23 - 4-6-24) Despite having low expectations beforehand, the cruise fell below my expectations. As hard as it was to gather information before the cruise, once onboard it truly wasn’t much better. For someone who is a ‘planner,’ not knowing when a tour is going to leave until after 9:00 the night before just doesn’t work. The shame of it ...

After reading reviews of the Celestyal Journey's first cruise in September we were apprehensive to say the least, but hoped that, by now, the glitches were all sorted out. And they were. This is one of the best cruises we have ever undertaken. We booked this on the 29th Feb sale day for the staggeringly low price of £140.00. 5 nights, 6 days, and overnight in Istanbul. Unbelievable. Included ...

I totally love this little 1250 max roughly little ship. Great Service, great staff attitude, great value. We have done a number of big ship cattle cruises which we we really started to dislike. No queues for anything apart from the odd coffee. The entertainment was really good and well thought out for 9 days, credit to the director. We are hoping to return to Athens in October for another ...
