Glad I did not read May reviews. Had a wonderful experience on ship. Sailed Aqua class and ate dinner at Blu restaurant. Food and service were excellent. On days that we wanted hot breakfast (French toast or omelets) we ate at Blu. On days just bagel or cereal at buffet which was always well stocked and had large variety including many healthy choices. Girls with Purell at entrances to ...

It's been awhile since I've cruised but we've decided to get back into it. Our last cruise was with Celebrity so I was impressed so after much research I thought this Alaskan cruise would be perfect (did a 3 night land tour prior too, that was a whole different story to say the least) Knowing that the weather would be cooler we booked an Ocean view room which was fine and our attendant was ...

Alaska Was Outstanding - The Cruise Ship Not.

I enjoyed very much the excursions offered in this cruise and definitely recommend those who are thinking of doing this cruise, to do the seaplane, do the helicopter to Taku glacier, definitely the excursion to Hubbard glacier, and any excursion involving wild life. I traveled with 2 other individuals and shared a Suite. I unfortunately had to sleep on the sofa bed. I have slept on other cruise ...

Food was decent. My favorite main dining room dinner was the prime rib. Late night pepperoni pizza was delicious. Scrambled eggs tasted fishy. Corner beef hash was yummy. Ice cream bar and cookies were tasty. Most of the entertainment was passable. The headliners were very good. The young violinist was terrific. The Sky Lounge games were fun but there was not much variety. Played ...

Most of our group (44) were sick when we left the cruise with norovirus or the stomach flu. My husband was admitted to the hospital upon returning home with norovirus. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The medical staff isolated us to our room with room service available- with only soft foods available. The spa staff was outstanding and gave us their best service. I didn’t care for ...

Celebrity Summit to Alaska was disappointing. The Veranda room was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. If you enjoy good food this is not the cruise for you. We ate in the buffet and the dining room. It was mediocre. Food for the masses. The shows were mediocre as well. I would not do a Celebrity Cruise again. One final point is after you book the cruise with the room you ...

Alaska Great, Summit Not So Much

Good: Very attentive and personable crew. Ship is old, but public areas were clean. Cabin was refurbished. Not So Good: Shower emitted a sewer odor. Limited choices for food and hard to find proteins that were not over-cooked (tough). Not, Not So Good: The clean utensils and plates passengers use were not that clean. One set of utensils I got had dried food on it and the plates felt like ...

We have always cruised with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines but decided we wanted to move up a level for a more elegant experience. We were so disappointed. Not to say that this was a bad experience. It was fine. Nothing worth spending the extra money for. These are the reasons we felt that this was not to our expectation. Food. Seriously disappointed in the quality of the food. We ...

Embarkation: Vancouver is notorious for being one of the slowest embarkation ports. However, we were only one of two ships in port so it went relatively smoothly--once we found the right places to be. For such a lovely port city, the port authorities need to make it easier. Room: The room was more spacious than I remembered from my last cruise many, many years ago. I thought the bathroom was ...

Never taking a Celebrity Cruise again

Dining: Although we had early dining and had confirmed table (card was in our stateroom) we were booted within 2 hours of dinner and placed on anytime dining. With 2 small children in tow, this absolutely reprehensible. On top of that our waiter wasn’t friendly at all, we tried to greet him cheerily and he would just hand the menu and walk away. He had the capacity, he greeted his fellow ethnic ...
