"I did chat to a lot of older passengers on the BEYOND about this, and they consistently reported being on the ship for one reason, “fun”, and found the live music in EDEN and the Martini Bar, dated and dull, if not patronising. With a much-improved sunset bar area, a new bar on the upper resort deck and the addition of new specialist restaurant - (and a revamped Retreat deck) it’s hard to see how this class of ship can be improved any further...."Read More
My wife and I decided to try a cruise after a 14 year gap. We wanted a ship that was newer with all the elegance one would expect. But that was not the case. Gone are all the special Star cases and chandeliers that were common on ships we sailed. Replaced with practical decor. Mediocre at best. And our major concern were the number of passengers, 3200, which we should of listened to reason. With ...
We cruised on this ship last year and decided at relatively short notice to book again this year 2023. We didn't particularly like the infinity balcony so asked our agent to find us something else. There was little choice so we booked a window room at the front which happened to be suitable for wheelchair use, so was much larger than most rooms with a large forward facing window. This was a big ...
The boat is beautiful. The food was good. I have three stars because it was very crowded. We had to get really creative to find seating in: the theater, the pool, specialty restaurants and any of the lounge chair decks. Also, if you don’t have a suite, you are a second class passenger. The best parts of the boats: high forward decks, are off limits to all regular staterooms. This in fact makes ...
We had an endless veranda cabin, which was roomy and excellent.
Service, throughout the ship, was as good as I have seen anywhere. The included restaurants were excellent, as was the buffet. So, we did not try any of the specialty restaurants. We had a party of six and paying an extra $300+ for dinner didn't seem attractive when we already had fine restaurants to try at no additional ...
Simply put we were very disappointed with this ship.
We found that the most frustrating thing for us was the fact that either the ship was overbooked or simply could not cope or function with the amount of guests.
Everywhere you went there were long lines of fed up guests.
Restaurants had queues every night which led to tension.
The elevators were constantly crammed full of ...
My first review and sadly despite being a really positive person this is a truthful account of what we encountered on Celebrity Beyond last week.
We paid for a balcony cabin and got a oceanview room with an electric wind down window—they sell this as an infinite balcony.
If you like to sunbathe on a balcony or have an early morning coffee on your balcony whilst your husband sleeps this is ...
I have cruised with celebrity on two other occasions and wasn’t disappointed with beyond for its style and its fabulous staterooms and food and entertainment.
Having said that cruising with celebrity has changed in as much as beyond is more a party ship with music everywhere you go, you can’t get away from it even in the speciality restaurants which are open to the music going on below making ...
Beware of the package you pay the Celebrity Consultant when booking. They are happy to charge but do not disclose the FACTS. Beverages All Inclusive have 2 formats. Soft beverages do not include Bottled Carbonated Water (WHAT?!). On Board you are given a different story. WiFi - 2 kinds. Classic which does not work and you are called a guest. The full access is $139/pp. (WHAT?!). Trips booked by ...
Where to begin. The room. We were supposed to have a balcony. It was a window that went down - sometimes. While most ships have a sliding door that goes to an actual balcony, this had a folding flimsy door. When traveling with my sister, I will sit on the balcony and have my coffee until she wakes up. I couldn't do that because, since there wasn't a door separating to the balcony, the wind ...
Waited 3 years to do this itinerary, was originally supposed to sail on Edge. Beyond is a stunning ship, obviously in pristine condition given it’s relatively brand new. Never felt crowded anywhere, the ship easily accommodates 3,000 plus passengers. The one thing that was outstanding was the food selection and quality in the Oceanview Cafe. We had sailed on Carnival Mardi Gras in Feb., the ...
