Carnival vs Norwegian
"no waiting in lines, giving credit card, checking in with passports ect - Bar service: No waits, even at pools - Dining service: Server knew our names, wine preferences and really went above and beyond to make our dining experience special - Guy's burgers: fast and really good Norwegian Better than Carnival - Ship, carnival was a little tired, especially the rooms and bathrooms; shower was a curtain with a raised lip; Norwegian had glass showers; Norwegian ships just in much better shape - Entertainment: Comedians, dueling pianos and Broadway style shows much better on Norwegian than Carnival - Fitness, thermal spa and gym much better Carnival = Norwegian - Main dining food- both good to very good and really liked that Carnival had melting chocolate cake every dinner.- Norwegian had main dining open for lunch where Carnival did not - Breakfast in main dining room on Carnival was very nice - Piano bar but great on both lines Overall, Carnival exceeded expectations with bar service and food but missed the mark with condition of rooms, bathrooms and quality of entertainment...."Read More

Y’all were so amazing. I just think nothing will ever top off this birthday week. The way yall talked with me and messed around with me. I loved it all. I will most definitely be back on that ship. I will also say I wish I could’ve stayed in touch with y’all. All the workers are so amazing I considered just saving up and going back on the cruise in a couple of months. Everything was easy to figure ...

Not a great cruise

A few surprises - New fees charged for Theatre entertainment, Movies Under the Stars and most of the other entertainment before 10 PM. Assigned dining room table in the Washington Dining Room and seated with a group of single women instead of a table for 2; location of the table did not allow us to view the crew entertainment. Buffet food was sub-par with long lines. Hot tub in the Ocean Suite ...

Amazing First time on a cruise ship. The experience was fascinating, incredible, AWESOME. There was a endless variety of food and drinks. The shops and entertainment were reasonable, mind-blowing, and intriguing. Always something to do, something to explore. Never a dull moment. I really loved that there was a "Friends of Bill W. " that I could attend. Housekeeping was great. The friendliness, ...

Dining - When I booked the cruise, I had selected "Anytime Dining" but was actually assigned an 8:15 pm reservation for each night of the cruise. I didn't realize my dining reservation had changed until I went to one of the dining rooms and was told I had to come back at 8:15 pm because that is what is printed on the Sail and Sign Card. AT first, I thought I had made an error in booking and blew ...

First Cruise / Horrible Experience

I’ll start by saying this was my first cruise. The staff and crew were amazing! I have zero complaints as far as the Carnival crew goes, the people who were also on this cruise are a different story…. I’ve never seen so many rude, obnoxious, and disrespectful people in one place. Groups of teenagers roaming the ship day and night, yelling and screaming, and fighting outside of your room. Early ...

Carnival Review Our first cruise and I said to my wife, trying to explain the level of failure and the level of care regarding the buffet quality is basically saying if Walmart had a buffet, this would have been it, and Luby’s would probably still have given them a run and still lost. The food was absolutely the most disgusting thing I have ever seen attempted to be put as meals, and that’s ...

The steak house was fantastic little pricey but worth it the buffet needs work. Went on 2 excursions 1st too the myan ruins lots of walking and climbing so if you have back or leg issues I don't recommend, 2 vip Beach trip well worth the money food and staffing just fantastic. Spa was great got the body scrub and massage lasted 50 minutes. Karaoke was a blast everyone there was very supportive of ...

Because of the date. The fact it was leaving New Orleans. Price, Itinerary. Then come to find out it was also Mardi Gras, woohoo!!! The staff was friendly. Our cabin steward Johnni, was awesome. Val our cocktail waitress at The Red Frog Pub was the Best. We had a great waiter in the Main dining room who was very entertaining and personable,,, I wish I could remember his full name,,, began with ...

We took this cruise for a quick get away. I have been cruising Carnival for years. This is an older ship but that does not bother me. Any day at sea is better than being home. I had 2 major issues on this cruise. 1st issue my linen on my bed was dirty. There were 6 layers of mattress pads sheets and a topper. I slept hard the first night and pulled my sheets off of the bed and that is when I ...

The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because we had an Amazon cabin steward, the bar tenders at the Red Frog on the Lido Deck were friendly, and the manat the Java station knew my husbands name. The food in the dining room was good, and so was guys burgers. The food on the buffet was horrible and it was yhe same every night. The staff was rude and if you asked them where something was they ...
