The food on World Voyager was excellent, and there was a surprising range of food choices at every meal, even with the second restaurant, 7Aft grill, closed for polar sailings. Service is good, and the wait staff very attentive, although food service at breakfast, which has both buffet and a la carte options, was sometimes a bit chaotic.

Restaurants on World Voyager

Madeira

This is the main dining, which is large enough to accommodate all the guests without reservations or assigned seating times. Breakfast and lunch are buffet. There is also a small a la carte menu and omelet station for breakfast. The lunch buffet is supplemented every day with a station where you can get dishes like pasta or noodles cooked to order right in front of you.

The buffets have a generous variety for all types of diets.

Dinners are fine dining affairs (minus the fine-dining dress code.) The menus change every night and offer a nice mix of international cuisine. There’s also a new vegan menu every night, as well as an “always” menu with staples like steak and salmon.

Paula’s Pantry

Although the ship offers a one of the most expansive room service breakfast menus I’ve ever seen on a small ship, this grab-and-go coffee, juice, smoothy, sandwiches, pizza, cookie and fruit stand is also popular for breakfast, and throughout the day.

7Aft

This is the pool deck grill that serves casual fare on warm weather cruises.

Dietary Restrictions on World Voyager

The kitchen is very sensitive to dietary restrictions. At the buffet, for instance, rather than just adding labels in front of the dishes, they do a good job of keeping the different options in dedicated sections to avoid confusion and cross-contamination.
