NOT a Cruise; A Floating Hotel on the Venice Lagoon

Review for Michelangelo to Cruise to Nowhere

When I booked this "cruise", I knew there would not be much cruising involved. However, if I'd known the boat would be completely stationery except for 8 hours during our whole stay, I would not have booked! When did the Michelangelo move? Once, for a short hop between our initial mooring at San Basilio and our main mooring at the Giardini Bienniale; once for a two hour meander around the ...

Incredibily disappointed in Scenic Tour's Response

Review for Scenic Emerald to Cruise to Nowhere

My husband and I booked our once in a lifetime cruise which ended up an extremely disappointing and expensive bus trip. The rivers were high on the Rhone and we couldn't sail underneath the bridges. The previous two trips had been cancelled but ours went ahead. We were docked in Macon for five nights and went out daily on coach trips which got longer and longer. We couldn't get back for lunch so ...

Imperial Jewels of China - Viking River Cruise

Overall I must say my wife and I were happy with the cruise and the stay in Shanghai and Beijing. We got to see everything we wanted to. The cabin and service on the Viking Emerald were very good - no complaints at all. The restaurant staff were very good, service was good (if you stuck to the menu) and loved our waitresses. We sat in a different area one night where the experience was totally ...

This was our third trip to Baja on Safari Quest. It has become our favorite cruise vessel. Large enough to find solitude, small enough to culture new relationships. The accommodations are first rate from the memory foam beds to the heated bath room floors. The A level room have a sliding door to enjoy the cool night on the Sea of Cortez. This is an all inclusive trip. Food prepared by an ...

My wife and I and another couple took a cruise on the Viking Line Schumann in September 2011. It was a 7 day English speaking cruise starting in Melnik (near Prague)in the Czech Republic and ending in Potsdam, Germany (near Berlin). We extended our cruise Through Viking with 3 days in Prague prior to the cruise and 3 days in Berlin after leaving the ship. Both extensions were in good Hilton ...

Disappointing!

I cruised the Yangtze River in China for three nights in Sept 2011. The entire ship smelled like bad curry initially. My cabin had a strong musty odor. I had to febreze the entire cabin! The cabin was large and had a good sized sitting room, separate bedroom, and bathroom. The water in the shower was not working--it was discolored and took 4 calls and an entire day to get fixed. The crew spoke ...

Elegant Elbe Viking River Cruise

We embarked near Prague (Melnik) and exited in Dessau (near Berlin). The trip was a very good one and uneventful. The stops were good except for the Meissen China Factory tour. Perhaps Viking gets compensation for this in some form as it is really a waste, except for the town tour. A highlight was the optional Terezin POW camp tour. Be sure and take it. The boat is small, the room was smaller ...
