"Princess insisted on calling me by my legal first name, a name I do not use nor go by.I don't need a full buffet choice of food at midnight (and on HAL ships, there is no place to go and get food) and the Princess International Cafe was a delight to have available, regardless the time of day or night...."Read More

I chose this cruise because it was a good value for the money I paid for it. It was my 2nd time on Princess. I would cruise with this line again but it is not my favorite. The shore excursion to the Waimea Canyon in Kaua'i was awesome, as was the one to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park in Hilo which included a stop at the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory. There were too many nights in which I ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted a cruise longer than 7 days. We enjoy sea days and this one gave us 5 glorious days to relax. Embarkation was a mess as far as dropping off luggage, they appeared to only have 5 or 6 guys collecting luggage. Once we dropped our bags the rest was a breeze, basically walked through security and onboard.
Our cabin was in a great location, we chose the Lido ...
First cruise on Princess (all prior cruise experience has been Holland America). I was asked to accompany my sister and her husband on their first-ever cruise (they picked this one). Pacific Coastal cruise San Diego/San Francisco/Astoria, OR/Victoria/Vancouver, BC.
I understand that for security reasons my full legal name - as on my Passport, etc. - must be available to Princess for TSA ...
We chose this cruise as my retirement cruise. My wife and I met in Pago Pago 37yrs ago and wanted to go back. After spending enough time there,we figured this was the best way to revisit where we met. We live in Honolulu and have been to Apia, and Tahiti. We hadn't been to Moorea or Bora Bora before and later Bora Bora was cancelled and a extended Papeete stay was scheduled.
We booked on ...
We have sailed Princess a few times and like their product. The staff on this ship exceeded our expectations! We had the best bartenders of any cruise, especially Jackie in the Explorer's Lounge, Pablo in the Casino and Mike and John in the Wheelhouse bar. Our Waiters, Donald from the Philippines and Juan from Peru along with their helpers were stellar. These people made this trip spectacular! ...
My husband (John) and I recently took our son, DIL, and (most importantly!) our two preteen grandchildren on a 15-day holiday cruise to Hawaii aboard the Crown Princess. We picked this cruise because of the itinerary and the fact that we had large credits from the canceled cruise segment of our Alaska cruise/tour (three of us tested positive for COVID-19 at the last lodge), which had to be used by ...
Entertainment. Poor overall. Didn’t warm to the cruise director personally, prefer a more mature director. No decent shows, only went to theatre once and that was enough.
Food. Started off ok but got better as the cruise went on. Didn’t feel the Crown Grill was as high end as we’ve had on previous Princess cruises but was still nice. Sabitinis excellent. Buffet was ok but food usually cold. ...
Chose this cruise for it’s round trip itinerary/ no air required as we live close to Vancouver BC. We were a group of 12 ranging in age 16-65+. We were well aware of the issues this ship had prior to the dry dock it was scheduled for after our cruise. This cruise included 2 medical evacuations, a flood that caused several cabins to relocate, elevators out of order, pools drained and out of ...
Got home yesterday from our 10 day cruise to the California coast on the Crown. This was my second cruise with Princess. After the first one, I wasn't sure I would cruise with them again as I found the ship, the Emerald Princess that time, extremely crowded. However, I have to say this cruise was much more pleasant. We had a great time, lots of fun and met the most wonderful people.
It ...
With this being our 11th cruise, I think it's safe to say we have become addicts. Unpack once, a lot pampering (the wife loves that part), meeting new people and just relaxing!
So we are some of those people who prefer to book an interior. In part because we prefer to spend on more cruises than on the room itself. We have read the arguments but for us, interior is fine. I did notice that the ...
