We had cruised with Princess before and enjoyed our previous cruises very much. Both cruises were on newer ships within the last two years. This was our 25th cruise so we are not new to cruising. We booked this cruise primarily for the interesting itinerary. Upon reviewing the ship before booking we observed it to be an older ship. We then researched to see when it was last refurbished. It had been refurbished within the year. Upon embarking ship we could see it was showing its age. It looked to be an older ship in need of being fully refurbished. Our cabin's carpet was dirty and looked shabby. The cabin very much showed its age. The food was average but did not compare to the food on the Royal and Regal Princess. The service was good with the exception of the Shore Excursion Desk. Some of the Excursions were way overpriced. ie: The Edinburgh on Your Own - charged $69.95 per person for a short ride to the center of Edinburgh. The South Queensferry Bus Service to Edinburgh on the other hand only charged 9 Pounds Roundtrip per person for the exact same service. What we paid for was not an excursion but a Shuttle bus ride to Edinburgh. This was published in the Princess Patter the night before - too late to cancel as Princess has a 48-hour cancellation policy. When this was brought to the attention of the Shore Excursion Desk they dismissed it that a lecture also gave the same information. Poor customer service. We will book future cruises on Princess but only on newer ships as the experience on older ships is less than desirable. Read Less

Chose cruise to visit places we had not been before. For most part enjoyed our trip but: Buffet - hot food was cold - cold food was warm - salad bar was good. Dining room meals good Shops - lots of booze, candy, jewelry, clothes, souvenirs, etc. - first night someone asked for halls candy for sore throat - not available - week later heard same question and same response. Entertainment was good. Excursions very expensive and not accurately described. Travel time for excursions did not leave enough time to actually see what you went to see. Ship breakdowns frustrating, onboard construction and refurbishing interfered with trip. Captain kept us informed of problems but $100.00 rebate was a joke. Missing Guernsey was a highlight for us and we missed it because of ship breakdown and bad weather. Appreciate safety concern BUT. Understand Guernsey is quite often missed as it is to rough for Tenders so why continue to include it as a stop? Noticed immediately upon getting on ship a lot of people with terrible deep cough, some wearing masks. We took all precautions to wash hands regularly and avoid sick people BUT on Thursday June 13 we started with sore throat and by Saturday the cough. Where able to do Edinburgh but glad Sunday was sea day. 18 Hour travel time home on Monday was horrendous. Emergency Room Tuesday morning - we both have pneumonia and still recovering three weeks later. How many other people from this Cruise are experiencing the Will never travel with Princess ever again and will not recommend it to anyone. Read Less

We chose our first Princess Cruise because we were celebrating my husband’s retirement - and we always wanted to visit Scotland and Ireland. We arrived in London 5 days early and visited the major tourist attractions. A Princess bus picked us up at Victoria Station and drove us to Southampton. Embarkation was very organized. We had to wait awhile, but chairs were provided and we were called in groups, so not too much standing in line. Our balcony stateroom was located on Deck 15 forward. It was clean and nice, and we loved the location. Our room steward was efficient, for the most part. We only saw him on check-in day. We asked that ice be provided each day, and he took good care of us for most of the cruise. However, the last few days, he took the ice bucket away and never brought ice again. There was an awful smell in one section our hallway, that never went away. It smelled like the carpet might have molded. We had to walk through that area coming and going to our room. It was disgusting. The people on this cruise were almost entirely quite old. We are 60ish - and were some of the youngest. I did see a couple of teenagers - who were probably bored to tears. This meant a lot of canes and scooters and slow walkers. They held up lines and elevators, and much patience was required on excursions as they took forever to load and unload buses. Many were very rude as well - cutting in line and ignoring instructions. The excursions were good, for the most part. We enjoyed the places we visited. Often, however, our play time was cut short - we would gather in a designated area on the ship and wait for our group to be called - then follow the leader up and down stairs to get off the ship and to our tour busses. Alternatively, we would follow that procedure to get on tenders - nightmare! There were not enough tenders, which meant long waits to get ashore and load the busses. All of this meant that the excursions sometimes got a late start - and we had very little time to shop or see anything on our own. If I had it to do over, I would definitely explore booking excursions through local companies - rather than Princess. We could have been off the ship earlier, had more time on shore, and saved money. The food was okay - but the choices were limited and became quite boring. If you want steak, visit the premium steak house onboard - do not order steak in the main dining room. I tried it twice and was thoroughly disappointed both times. The steaks were tough, tasteless, and full of gristle. I do highly recommend the creme brûlée, however. Room Service is still free - some cruise lines are charging a fee. But, the menu is extremely limited. Nothing memorable about the food at all. Entertainment on the ship was just boring. They definitely played to the older crowd - big band music, bingo, crafting get togethers, boring stage shows. I looked forward to the outdoor movies on deck. However, it was too cold on deck in the evenings and you couldn’t clearly see the screen during the day. We spent most of our ship time resting, watching tv, and eating. There wasn’t much else interesting to do. Staff was mostly efficient, but not too friendly. Unlike other cruises I’ve been on, the staff did not seem to enjoy their jobs, and were not particularly interested in the cruisers. They did their jobs, but gave nothing extra. Disembarkation was very smooth and quick. We had breakfast, met at our assigned location, and were quickly off the ship. The luggage was organized, and we met our driver in very short order. Overall, we enjoyed our trip because of the wonderful people in England, Ireland, Scotland, and France. We saw wonderful buildings and exhibits. I’ve always loved cruising, but this particular ship, with its boring entertainment, ho-hum staff, and limited food selection, was nothing special. I need to add - we were hot the entire time we were onboard. We lowered the temperature in our room as much as possible, but had to open our balcony door for cool air. All of the public rooms were hot, and we sweated through every meal. For that reason alone, I would not repeat this cruise. Read Less

Whilst we've had good experiences on former Princess cruises, we've never been on a Crown-class ship. We selected the cruise entirely for the itinerary & we loved all the ports visited but I'm afraid we were rather disappointed with the ship & its services (except for the dining rooms that had great waiters as always). 1. The first day tendering was horrendous, waited more than 2 hours to get on a tender boat cutting our time on shore & we didn't get to see much. But what made it worse was the constant blaming on others by the Crown staff - "we don't operate the tender boat; we have no say etc etc" Then in the evening the cruise director said "at 6 am there were no one & what can we do when 2000 people showed up all at once at 9 ? Hope you know what to do on our next tender port " Although she said it half jokingly but it left a really sour note with us !! Wouldn't they had anticipated it ? Couldn't they at least made passengers feel better by talking to us nicely ? 2. The cabin rooms: showing aging signs everywhere. Wood stains on the balcony were chipped & faded; shower curtain stained & smelly; no luggage mat to pack or unpack. 3. Went on 1 ship's excursion only & again the organization was terrible. We were told to wait at one area but it really was another. We were herded around & we paid almost $200 each for the experience! Its such poor management & unfriendly customer handling, you would think they had never done excursions before! 4. Entertainment was so-so except for the great final performance by the ship's ensemble. Read Less

we were looking for a 10 day cruise with good hot weather, which we did get. We have been on this ship before and it has since been refurbished but I'm not sure what parts. It seemed exactly the same as 10 years ago. Maybe the specialty restaurants which we did not go to. The cabins were exactly the same but with very mushy beds. We chose twin beds which were extremely small and too soft. They had very heavy duvets on the beds which might have ok on a trans ocean crossing but far too hot for the caribbean. The ports we went to were just ok. Bonair was very interesting. We took a ship excursion in Grenada but the driver just took us to each stop and opened the door to the van and told us nothing. I complained at the ship but they just apologized. At St.Thomas we would have had to take a taxi to town which was charging $5. per person for approx.2miles. We didn't bother. The Princess Cays was very nice. A nice time to swim in the ocean. Entertainment is very good on the Princess which is one of the reasons we keep coming back, but I would go on a newer ship if we do it again. Read Less

Went to islands we had not been to before. The ship was clean and well managed. There is obviously a lot of Elite members now cruising. Laundry warning about extra time for turn around of returned clean clothes was the first clue. Dining room food choices are getting smaller with lots of unknown dishes being presented. Sabatini's and Crown Grill were better food in general and service in both was very good. Kind of confused by them having different wine lists. The wine we chose in Sabitini's, and all enjoyed was not available in Crown Grill. Strange since both are on the same ship. Regular dining room food seemed lackluster. A sign of the times in almost all cruise lines. Bottom lines are taking effect. Princess still ranks high for me but declining. Cruise staff was excellent as always and the hosted cruise critic event visit by a staff member was a great positive. Biggest complaint is still seat savers and deck chair hogs. All cruise lines need to enforce some more stringent rules! Overall meeting fellow passengers were a positive experience. I will still look at Princess first but continue to cruse by destination and itinerary. Read Less

We chose this cruise because our friends booked it in November 2018 and we thought it would be great to be together and it was wonderful!! All the staff no matter the rank were very polite, friendly and very helpful and great at their jobs...from the wait staff in the morning, to the pool staff, our cabin stewards (Hank), etc. But, in particular we thoroughly enjoyed our 'anytime' dining almost 'every' evening with Caroline Villanueva, Ranie Samson and Jabulani Ngwenyo at table 508 in the Da Vinci dining room!! They helped to make it an extraordinary time with our friends! The food was very well presented each night and very good! Other than Aruba and St. Thomas and Bahamas...we would have skipped Bonaire, Dominica and Grenada!! The disembarkation element could/should be revised in our opinion. We were given a time of 7:45am to leave the ship and we stood for over an hour waiting for the 'walk-off' vacationers going first with allllll their luggage in tow...before we could go to the terminal for our luggage. We could have enjoyed a lovely breakfast if we had known about the others going first!!! Over all an excellent product, service and enjoyment! Read Less

The itinerary as well as the 10 days, gives you more time to enjoy activities as well as time to relax. The cruise director, Peter and his staff were wonderful. Alwyn was especially good at his position of assistant cruise director, then Song and Will. There was another member and I can’t reme correct spelling or pronunciation, Bongani. We enjoyed about every aspect of the cruise, many games and activities throughout, trivia, karaoke, The Voice, bingo, you name it we did it. Also did 3 Princess excursions that we all enjoyed. Had one of the best experiences ever at The Crown Grill. All in all, a great cruise. I simply loved every to cruise with Princess. My husband and I have cruised 29/30 times. This was our 27th with Princess and we now only travel with Princess. The Crown is somewhat older compared to Regal and Royal, but still a lovely ship. Embarkation and disembarkation went extremely smooth. Our inside cabin was adiquitly furnished with enough shelf, drawer and hanging space, abundance of coat hangers made a world of difference. Had great ports of call where we did 3 Princess excursions. Great cruise with great company. Read Less

We arrived the day before, choosing a hotel with free transferts from airport and to port. But, they changed the rules before we gat there, so now they charge 10$/pers to port... a taxi cost 25$. We were 4 adults, so we chose the taxi. Embarcation was fast (we are Platinium) and they offer cake and coffe while we wait in a private lounge. The ship, our cabin, dining venues and especialy the service was wonderful! Entertainment was good when the dancers and singers were giving the show, but stand-ups were skeaking too fast for those who were not english speaking (native). Ports : we had been to most of them before, so we just walked around in the neighbourhood, except for Dominica, where we took a tour by Princess (good idea, since it was late and they waited for us!). We were surprised by 2 other family members who joined us for the cruise! They managed to find out our cabin number and booked the cabin just beside us! We then opened the balcony doors to have a 3 cabin balcony... very nice! (for confidentiality... that is another story!) We did the same cruise last year and truly enjoyed both cruises. Read Less

This was our "Triple Crown Cruise" since it was the third time we've sailed on her. The Crown has been updated so it looks brand new. With 10 days to relax and four new ports to explore it was a great cruise. We had the cabin the back of the ship which was very quiet except for the engines: we knew when the ship was docking since we heard, and felt, the side thrusters. There was a little more ocean motion that we felt at night and it was a pleasnt rocking that rocked us to sleep every night It stil was a wonderful room. The food was great at every food venue, but the Crown Grill is still the best steakhouse on land or sea and the Carribean. We were finally able to get reservations at The Sanctuary which was a whole new experience. The crew were outstanding and they all treated us like family. the International Cafe was our favorite place, as usual. There were great show and and the comedian was hilarious! I highly suggest swimming with the turtles in Barbados. Don't forget to book your next cruise while still on the ship! We love Princess Cruises!!! Read Less

We have cruised with Princess twice before and were happy with our experiences. This time we noticed all the cost cutting measures that have been taken. Ship was very crowded and priced were lowered closer to sailing. However, club class mini suite pricing was not lowered. Embarkation was great however next time I would not board until after noon. Disappointed with quality of toiletries, tissue, toilet paper and paper towels. Service was good and room was kept clean. Cabin was as expected but sofa bed was not comfortable and looked like it had seen better days. Club Class dining appears to be no different from regular dining as menus are the same with the exception of a chef cooking an entre, dessert or appetizer in the area (not at your table as advertised). Quality and types of main dishes is much lower. Few American dishes. Hamburgers are even compressed into a hard pattie. Club class dining is separate but not partitioned off so people from dining room were exiting our area. Service in CC dining was very good. Princess Theatre Troup entertainment used to be better; special entertainers were very good. No seating is set aside for suite class. Theaters are always crowded. No information is given about which entertainers will appear more than once until the day of appearance. Ports are good. Guest lecturers poor. Service, staff and baristas in International Cafe are exceptional. We received no forms for EZ Check or information until the deadline expired and customer service argued with us about receipt of those forms. No answer when calling room service when we did. There was no butler for minisuites. Staffing has been cut so these service personnel are really working extremely hard. Not enough waiter assistants. Bar service slow in dining room likely due to all the staffing cuts.. Back to Celebrity Cruiseline. Read Less

My husband and I decided to take a 10 day Caribbean cruise for our 20 year anniversary. From the moment we stepped on the Crown Princess it was magical. All the guest are treated like VIPs with some of the best service I have ever experienced. Fernando and Sergi in the Michelangelo dinning room were the best Waite staff I have ever had. They were knowledgeable about the courses, made recommendations and in general gave us a perfect time. Jasmine in the Crooners Lounge is a “Joy, joy, happy, happy” very funny and attentive. I really enjoyed my time with her. We loved the chance to visit multiple ports and see other cultures and cuisines. All of the ports we visited had wonderful friendly people who genuinely liked having visitors. Truly a memorable cruise. February is the perfect time to escape the Great White North and enjoy a cruise in the sun. We always go with Princess, this time a ten day cruise on the Crown. We have been on the Crown before and like the layout of the ship, particularly the Piazza with the Vines wine Bar and the International Cafe. I have celiac disease and need a gluten free diet - I feel Princess does the best job of handling special diets. There was good labeling of foods in the buffet and a head waiter takes care of everything in the dining room. I had gluten free Beef Wellington and Chicken Pot Pie, foods I hadn’t been able to eat in the last ten years! Food is a big part of a holiday and I really enjoyed everything I ate, confident it would be gluten free. Movies under the Stars was a spectacular setting to watch Bohemian Rhapsody. We were happy with everything except having to get to a show so early in order to get a seat. We finally decided to go to the late show which wasn’t as popular. Disembarkation was breeze with no hold up at Customs. We took the transfer to the Airport. Read Less

We chose this cruise primarily for the destinations and tho we've never sailed on Crown we have sailed Ruby and Carribean in this class and prefer this class of ship over the newer designs. The ports did not disappoint us...We arrived and left on time with a minor glitch on Turks and Caicos which being on Super Bowl day did not affect us since our plan was to stay aboard anyways. The food was good at the Horizon buffet.....The food one of the two times we ate in the dining room was good. It is difficult to have a bad cruise...ours was good but having personally owned our own restaurant for 30 years, customer service doesn't seem up to par...A few examples....For the first 7 nights we had food and bird excrement on the balcony C374 along with dirt and soot from the previous cruise. On the 7th night my wife and I were sitting on an extended balcony when we heard the cabin above us to the right being cleaned by the steward. All of a sudden a bucket of water came crashing down from above. Jumping up I saw the steward entering the cabin above but when I yelled to him he ran. Not knowing what was dumped on us I went to guest services and talked to Valeria, I believe....But we couldn't hear one another because guest services is right next to the Atrium and the band was playing very loud. We waited about 4 minutes until we could hear one another if we yelled. She apologized to me...said they have brought this problem up before....but no one listens...Captain, I guess you might want to take a look at this one...Anyways she said she was going to notify housekeeping and have our balcony cleaned. Shortly Riu, the steward came by to see what was wrong...said he had just taken off his duty clothes...said the steward should have checked for people below...(Captain?) Before throwing it and said he'll check in the morning. Next day, no one had still cleaned the balcony until I embarrassed him by detailing all that was left over from the last cruise..He cleaned it the last 2 days....Housekeeping needs help on this ship. The windows in Horizon Court look like a greasy spoon and common areas could use a good sprucing up. Looking for Miller Light beer I went to 4 bars and finally found Crooners. When I asked the bartender if he had any he told me it was limited and he brought some to his bar that morning...then told me that Explorers Lounge had it and I could maybe get it there. I told him I only wanted 2 and his would work. On the morning breakfast we walked in at 8:15 for a table for two and were told they had none....We said ok we can eat at the buffet...then they said they had one...upon walking in there were about 15 to 20 open.....quick note to Princess....satisfy your customer....not your own wants....And this one goes out to the deck hands...when asked if they were going to provide Lounge covers for the Super Bowl like they do for MUTS...the answer was " My supervisor hasn't decided if he wants to or not." Really?? If he wants to or not....And again, deck crew..if it starts pouring....berating customers because they ran away from it without grabbing wet towels?? Probably not cool.. Sometimes people get so wrapped up in their environment and job that they actually need to be re-trained with regard to ideal customer service..It happens and appears like it's time for this to happen on Crown Princess...Again, we had a good time...these are not complaints as much as they are indications that some things need to be addressed.. Most importantly, listen to your own customer service desk and move them so that they can do their job....It's hard enough as it is! Read Less

We wanted a good overview of the Carribean Islands. It was good to get away from the winter of Canada. Feeling the sunshine, listening to the steel drums with the warm Carribean breeze was a wonderful feeling. No cooking, no dishes wasn't to hard to take either. I had time to read 2 books. I sure enjoyed that. The ship entertainment was pretty good and we enjoyed dancing most nights. The food was great. I had a memorable lamb dinner with mint jelly. It was a remarkable dinner, my favorite. Service was great. Embarkcation and disembarkcation are very well organized. Nice variety of food choices and good dining room service. Enjoyed most of our port stops. I always did an on shore excursion because Princess price gouge for their excursions. Be prepared to be nickelled and dimed every time you turn around. E.g.. pictures, bottled water, drinks, WiFi, excursions, certain menu choices are extra, specalty fine dining room added cost, gambling, pay extra for serenity room, spa treatments, you can't even check in for your flight with out paying to use WiFi and it's expensive and antiquated. Some of the games cost money. Every time you turn around Princess is trying to get in your wallet, be prepared. Read Less

We asked to be seated with table of 4. We were traveling with two other guests. They really didn't want to accomodate us. They did several nights. We had anytime dining but prefered to be with our friends at dinner. The Cabin and service was exceptional. The Piano Bar was not available (perfomer was not there) until the last night (9 out of 10) no piano music which is one of the most enjoyable to us. The games took too long to get set up and organized. You lost interest in waiting for "it to start" the staff stood around as tho they were uncertain what to do. Dining experience was good. Bar tenders great. Cabins were good. Pools were good. The movies and TV shows were terrible. The ship had so many seniors very very few children if any. The movies selection was not good. The Pizza was to die for! #lovethatpizza. The games shows were to slow in getting started and it seemed they were just unorganized. The Theater performances were pretty good. We took the 10 day cruise to Aruba, Curacao, Grenada, Dominica, St. Thomas, and Grand Turk. We are experienced cruisers with about 40 cruises under our belt, in the Baltic, Asia, Mediterranean, Alaska, and the Caribbean. We are both 71 which fit the demographic of this cruise perfectly. Nearly everyone was old. The Crown Princess and her sister ships have what we consider to be the best (while still affordable) cabins afloat– the generous mini-suites on Dolphin deck. There is a very good-sized sitting area, big deck, decent bathroom, great closet and shelves. We also like that there are real night tables, not just slabs of wood or less sticking alongside the bed. Unfortunately, the night tables are no longer useful in terms of drawers. They have been permanently closed for some reason. The bathrooms could use a re-do. The tub was a bit scratched up, and the floor had what appeared to be scrapes or some kind. The bed was terribly soft. It appeared that they tried to cover up a sagging mattress with a pillow top. If so, it was not effective, and the bed was not comfortable—unless you like no firmness at all. We like the generous sofa, good sized coffee table and extra chair as well as the two large screen TVs. There were movies every day that you could choose from. It struck me off that most of them we had never heard of. Some of them also appeared in the Princess theater or on MUTS. I really like MUTS and wish more good movies had been on it. Also wish you were able to get more than the handful of popcorn that was passed out by waiters. Literally, a handful. Popcorn is cheap. Why the chinziness? Entertainment in general was very good. Project 5 did a fantastic job on the Whitney Houston tribute. The comic, Darryl something, was very funny. Some nights, though, like the last, there did not seem to be anything going except a rather boring folk singer, Cassie Matthews. Food in the buffets was just dreadful at lunch and dinner. Cheap cuts of meat, tough as shoe leather. They had BBQ spareribs 4 times in the first 4 days. They did make an effort have sugar free, gluten, and vegetarian desserts. Someone should tell them, however, that diabetics, of which I am sure there were hundreds on board, need carb free, not just sugar free. Serving them sugar free cake is not helpful. Flourless chocolate cake was the best thing going, though it was not sugar free. Food in the dining room was average at best. We ate twice in the Crown Grill and found the steaks tough and the beef rib, not good. The French fries, however, were excellent. Best food on the ship: Salty Dog hot dogs. After having given up on the lunch buffets after 5 consecutive failures, we ate at the Salty Dog every day at lunch. Our room steward, Roderigo, was excellent. I love it when the steward is able to clean your room while you are at breakfast and again, while you are at dinner. And Roderigo was able to do that. As to the itinerary– we had been to all of these islands before, sometimes many times. I would like to see shore excursions that suit the elderly on cruises which are majorly composed of the elderly. Perhaps some classes on shore like Salsa Salsa Salsa but fitting the island they are visiting. Something cultural rather than something involving physically demanding excursions. We did not take any ship excursions at all. We rented a car in Aruba, which is very easy to do right on the pier. We picked up a guide in Dominica, again, on the pier. We took the local tram in Grenada. Our time was limited in Curacao and Grenada. We have been to St. Thomas so many times that we barely got off the ship. Grand Turk is a complete waste, so... There is a nice souvenir area, quite large, at the terminal in Dominica. The cruise was pleasant because the weather was perfect. Quick embark and debark. Read Less

Absolutely wonderful 10 day cruise in Jan toSouthern Caribbean Medley on Princess Crown. The Crown is a beautiful classically decorated ship with Serene and elegant decor. Easy to get around. From food to excursions to weather....awesome. We were on Caribe deck 10 room 219 and had an extra large balcony. Excellent service from steward. We did 5:15 traditional dining in Davinci. Samrun was the head waiter. Pancakes in dining room in am excellent. Buffet provided plentiful variety. Pizza was great! We spent two afternoons in the Sanctuary which was very pleasant. However you must go immediately to the Sanctuary to reserve upon embarkation as it sells out and options were not our first choice. Plan ahead know your schedule for the week when you arrive to make your reservation. We were offered citrus or cucumber water, tea, sandwiches, pastries, and desserts in the Sanctuary. The Entertainment and activities plentiful. Only blemish was princess tour in Curaco called Made in Curaco which varied from advertised itinerary and took us to a market in an area that is being turned around. Overall this was very minor. The items for sale were really a donation and of little value. We took a spice island tour in Granada by Mandoo Seales which was excellent. He is a local and really gives a insiders view of the island. In Aruba we selected a tour by Vacations to Go for tour of Aruba Aloe with our guide Gary. Dominica Princess cocoa plantation tour with our guide Sharika was great, even if the road was not for the faint of heart. Sharika was funny and spoke excellent English. The information on how chocolate was made was exceptional information. Ample samples given at end of tour complete with a cooking demo. If it was raining I would not want to be on this road. The January weather was perfect. Mid 80’s no rain, beautiful sunshine. Wonderful vacation. There were four in our party and I would actually repeat this trip in a few years. Read Less

This was our first Crown Princess Cruise. Our friends cruise with Princess on a regular basis and referred this ship. We we couldn’t have been more pleased with everything from checking in to disembarking. Every person that we came in contact with was more than helpful. Our room steward, Igor...Bartenders, Bruce, Viktor, William and Dragana. Every employee we passed in the hallway were smiling and friendly. There was so much entertainment on this ship and we loved it all! Just to name a few, Movies under the stars, the voice, ice carvings, fruit and Vegetable carvings. The buffet was excellent as well as all the other restaurants. We have cruised with other cruise lines and found this one to be far better. I thought there were very few children on this ship, however, when I stopped up on the sports deck 17, I saw the youth center & kids area! Very nice! We look forward to another trip soon on the Princess. Read Less

Great service from Jorge and Julia in Sabatinis. Not only was the service great and friendly, but the food was great. We were able to eat there for breakfast also, and that was the best way to start the day. Also great service from Arvin our cabin steward. He was an invisible steward who catered to all of our needs, but wasn’t always seen. He learned our schedule, and worked around us. The excursions were top notch although a bit more expensive than shore bought ones. Bonaire, Grenada, and Dominica were new to us, but all were quite enjoyable. Suggest you bring a cushion as the roads could be quite bumpy at best. Participants in the Trivia contests had fun, although the hand outs were a bit understated. This is common on Holland America cruises too. Food was good although somewhat repetitive. Our steward Leo III and his assistant were very good and never forgot our preferences. Food in the Horizon Court was good to average, and the service was very good. The coffee/juice service was prompt and always available. The Crown Grill was average. I have had better food on other Princess cruises, but the service was still excellent. Read Less

Enjoyed the differences among the islands, from the deserts in Aruba and Bonaire to the lush greenery in Grenada and Dominica. Snorkeling excursions in Aruba, St. John and Dominica were great. Always like spending time at Princess Cay, too. Dinner at Sabatini's was amazing! Dining room food for dinner was always very good. Loved the International cafe or Horizon Court for a quick breakfast. The pub lunch was also very good. The ship's crew was excellent, very friendly and helpful everywhere on the ship. Embarkation and debarkation were very well organized. The choice of daily activities was plentiful and the entertainment at night was very good. The cruise director, Angela, and her staff (especially Song) were great! The Crown is a beautiful ship, well maintained and layer out so that it never feels crowded even with 3000+ passengers. There was seldom a long wait for elevators and always seats available for shows. All shore excursions were booked through Princess and we enjoyed them all. The debarkation excursion in Fort Lauderdale to Las Olas Blvd and the Intercoastal Waterway was very good. Read Less

Because I went on Princess Two years ago and it was great. The Crown Princess should have been buried at sea. Mildew in the ceiling on 15 and tile missing showing pipes. Balcony table should have been thrown away and replaced with new one. Drawers in cabin stucked everyday. My cabin steward was polite but not any good st all. My waiter , asst. waiter and head waiter were excellent. The food was good. The staff on 15 were great also. Someone found my water bottle on the ship and either threw it away or kept it. Coffee on 15 and formal dining was horrible. Embarkation was long and unorganized. It took a very long time. Guess service was great. This survey is time consuming and unnecessary. I feel that nothing will be done about my conserns. If the Crown Princess had been my first time using Princess it would have been my last time. The disembarkment was great. Read Less

We took this cruise from Rome to Ft Lauderdale because it was a great price and I liked the stops. I wanted to see Barcelona. I was on my bucket list. It was quick and easy to get on but very slow getting off. I walk with a cane so I took a wheelchair which sped up the process. Our cabin E623 was obstructed view. It had plenty of space for 2.womens clothes. We took anytime dining and took a shared table. The service was sometimes slow but we always met interesting people. The night entertainment was outstanding with a show in the Explorers Lounge at 9 and the theater at 10. Daytime did not have as many discovery talks. Mostly sales for jewelry and art. We started in Rome and went to Pisa/Florence ,Barcelona and Ponte Delgado. We were suppose to stop at Toulon but the water was rough. Read Less
