So Disappointing an Experience

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Crown Princess

To see the Yucatan ruins and to get away for a few days in luxury. If you read my reviews, you know that I generally only post positive experiences. This voyage of the Crown Princess from Ft. Lauderdale to the Yucatan for 5 days leaving November 13 has not been one of those. The standards for Princess have dropped since our cruise to Alaska in 2010 in so many ways and this has been an extreme ...

UNSAFE and Disappointing

I am disappointed in Princess Cruises. I sailed previously and had a wonderful experience only to return to poor service and uncomfortable conditions. Our cabin air conditioning was not working properly, three visits from a technician with no resolution. The dining staff was ok, some were excellent and some were poor. This is a reflection of their leadership not demanding better standards and ...

We were so excited to get back on Princess and feel that Princess level treatment. We have cruised 5 times together, but I have cruised 10+ times prior to meeting my husband. Our last cruise was my first Princess cruise and first experience with the Princess treatment. I was sold after our 14-day cruise to Hawaii in March 2012. I told my husband that it would take a lot for me to cruise with ...

Embarkation - Organized and we were onboard and in our cabins by 12:30 p.m.Crown Princess Ship - Did not care for the layout of the ship. I too smelled sewage in the hallways. Found the entire ship musty smelling. Balconies are very small. Buffet areas very congested and main dining room very dark with low ceilings. Staff - Stateroom attendant was great. Looked after us very well. So much for ...

Princess - a complete letdown!

I had always heard that Princess was a premier cruise line, but what we experienced on our Christmas cruise was nothing short of bottom of the line. We were one of the 113 cabins that had their LUGGAGE DELIVERED TO THE CABIN SOAKING WET! Everything in our luggage was wet or damp and my formal silk dress was ruined! The cabin steward was slow to respond to our calls about the situation and after 3 ...

3 Ports for the Price of 4--Avoid Roatan Mahogany Pier

We have taken 9 cruises (1 Alaska, 1 Mexico Pacific, 1 Canada-New England, 3 Caribbean, and 3 Europe) and this was definitely our most disappointing cruise experience. Our 7 day Crown Princess itinerary called for 4 port days (Cayman Islands; Roatan, Honduras; Cozumel, Mexico, and Princess Cays). Our last cruise was a 12 day British Isles cruise aboard the Crown Princess last July. We had a good ...

Please note I have been on so many other ships and lines and also on Princess before and was looking so forward to this cruise. I talked a friend into going telling him how great a cruise was.... It used to be and now he says he won't go on a another cruise. Princess did that. Getting on was easy enought but then we had to find our cabin with no help from the crew. Got to the cabin and the bed was ...
