Still a lovely ship with a fantastic crew

We honeymooned on the Crown in 2007. Had a great time sailing from NYC to the Caribbean and back. That trip kick started our love of cruising. So this trip was a homecoming of sorts. How was it 16 years later? While the ship has obviously aged and shows some wear here and there, overall it seems to be actually improved. The tech added throughout the ship is brilliant. The medallions worked ...

We booked this 4 night Alaska Preview cruise because Airfare was less to fly to Vancouver than it was to Southern cruise ports. My sister was interested in doing a longer Alaska Land & Cruise tour package so this sampler cruise was perfect way to get her to see a Vancouver, Ketchikan, and Seattle. Honestly, this cruise could not have been more perfect! Weather was so perfect every day, I packed ...

We thoroughly enjoyed our Alaskan cruise on the Crown Princess. The Crown has a promenade deck which allows you to walk around the whole ship. The Crown Princess is an older ship but well maintained and clean. Our stateroom was a Vista Suite aft on the Dolphin deck. The food was amazing. We ate every night in the Reserve Collection dining Room. I highly recommend it - never having to wait ...

First cruise for me and 2nd for hubby (did his 40+ years ago if that even counts). Read all the negative reviews and although I don’t have anything to compare we had a great cruise. Our room was comfortable and I felt quite modern for an older ship. Everywhere was so clean, better than on land hotels in my opinion. The entire crew was so lovely and friendly. Did try to do as much as possible and ...

My wife and I had done Alaska about 15 years before and loved it so we decided to return. We flew in the night before and stayed at the Blue Horizon on Robison St. It was one of the more reasonable places to stay and there are lots of restaurants nearby and a nice walk to Stanley Park or lots of shops. We took an Uber to the ship and the embarkation took some time but the line never stopped ...

We had a great cruise on this ship. I’d been really concerned after reading lots of negative/neutral reviews but our experience was overall great. The crew make this ship, they are all so friendly and helpful and genuinely want to make your cruise great. The kids club programme for 8-12s was excellent, the staff were high energy and fun. Lots of interesting content that my daughter dipped in and ...

4 generations of our family flew to Los Angeles from BC for a week in Disneyland. This cruise brought us home with amazing stops in San Francisco, Astoria and Victoria. We intended to use the cruise to recover from Disneyland but found that there was just too much to do on the ship and in port. We enjoyed one formal night which gave the little ones a chance to dress as a little gentleman (3 year ...

Crown Princess really delivered on our first cruise to Alaska!

I always do a lot of research before any vacation. I found that Princess (Crown) goes through Glacier Bay - which many do not. It was our first cruise, and I had read many not-so-positive reviews about the wear and tear of the Crown, the poor buffet food, the rude crew...I was a bit apprehensive. However, from embarkation to disembarkation, it was wonderful! EVERY crew member I passed smiled ...
