We have never cruised with Princess but we liked the itinerary to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed! This is a fantastic cruise line. The embarkation was flawless. Our stateroom was ready upon arrival. Everything around the ship was clean always. The entertainment was fantastic. We kept busy going from one venue to the next, not to miss anything. Our favorite was Project 5. They interacted with the crowd and were great musicians. They dedicated a song to us for our anniversary. We were so impressed with the buffet line! So clean and not crowded. Never have seen that on any other ship. We like the any time dining and was seated with a fabulous server, Hardika. He made certain that our dining experience was over the top. The food was good but not fabulous in the Michelangelo. But we were never hungry! We met some of the nicest people on the cruise. The clientele was great. We tried to participate in as much as we could but there was plenty that we just couldn't do. Our room was always clean and in order. The food areas were always clean. The Salty Dog had great food, great pizza. Plenty of pools so there was plenty of shade and room in the hot tub and pool. Easy to get around the ship. Drinks were good. Ports were fantastic! It was so much fun. We will definitely go on another Princess Cruise. Disembarkation was a breeze. Very well organized by all. We were very impressed with all of it. Read Less

This was our first Crown Princess Cruise. Our friends cruise with Princess on a regular basis and referred this ship. We we couldn’t have been more pleased with everything from checking in to disembarking. Every person that we came in contact with was more than helpful. Our room steward, Igor...Bartenders, Bruce, Viktor, William and Dragana. Every employee we passed in the hallway were smiling and friendly. There was so much entertainment on this ship and we loved it all! Just to name a few, Movies under the stars, the voice, ice carvings, fruit and Vegetable carvings. The buffet was excellent as well as all the other restaurants. We have cruised with other cruise lines and found this one to be far better. I thought there were very few children on this ship, however, when I stopped up on the sports deck 17, I saw the youth center & kids area! Very nice! We look forward to another trip soon on the Princess. Read Less

This is our 4th cruise with Princess and again, a fun time. We usually sail the Med but took our first Caribbean cruise to get out of the New England cold/snow. Onboarding was a breeze, our balcony cabin was all ready for us when we got on board. A note about cabins on Crown Princess, if you want the best balconies, make sure you are on deck 10 - Caribe. These balconies are twice the size of the rest. We did anytime dining for the first time (we usually do late seating) and since it was just the two of us, it worked perfectly. We never waited for a table and we never had to share a table. We made 4 stops: St. Kitts, lovely - go to Carambola Beach Club - very nice beach, Antiqua, our highlight of the trip, we went to Half Moon beach and it was wonderful, St Thomas - still needs alot of work and Grand Turk - what a dump. I am not sure why Princess bothers to stop at Grand Turk, it is a cespool of an island. Lowest point of the trip. Just one gross, disgusting bar after the next with abandoned houses all around. The ship's personnel again were top notch - shout out to the Cruise Director, Corey, we have not idea how he keeps the pace up all day long but the entertainment is truly fun and another highlight. Don't forget to hit Pub Lunch on the Sea day, Fish n' Chips always great with a pint of guinness. The ship has put in some "pop-up" restaurants that are worth passing on. The Main Dining Room is still the best choice. Disembarkment was a breeze as well. Princess does not have a good incentive right now to book another cruise (they use to have strong on-board credits to reserve - only $50 per person now) so I am considering looking at other ships as the Med itineraries are repetitive to what we have already seen. We are experienced cruisers with 27 previous cruises on various cruise lines. On this cruise, we were part of a large "special group" of 800 music fans. Due to our special activities, we did not have time to experience a lot of the extra Princess offerings like the spa, gym, bingo, etc. Embarkation went smoothly, especially since our whole group had priority boarding. We were on the ship around noon, they told us rooms would be ready by 2:00 pm, but they were actually ready shortly after 1:00 pm. Luggage arrived later, but in plenty of time to unpack and change before dinner. Disembarkation was smooth until you got to the terminal. It was a zoo there and some of the agents in the terminal were downright surly. We have Global Entry and, even though Ft. Lauderdale does not have Global Entry kiosks, they do have a special line for Global Entry and Mobile Passport. If you do not have Global Entry, get the Mobile Passport App for your phone and use it. We must have by-passed 300 people and ended up with only one couple ahead of us at the Customs booth. The ship is lovely. Seems that maybe the on-board shopping has been decreased, but not sure. Not as many "atrium" sales on inexpensive items as some other ships. We had anytime dining and always asked for a table for two. We ate late (around 9:00 pm) and never had to wait for a table more than a minute or two. One server in the DaVinci Dining Room was the best we've ever had on any cruise, in any venue. He was just top-notch. (Ask for Milan, table #450, DaVinci Dining Room). Other servers were a bit hit or miss. All were pleasant, but many of them did things that just weren't right, like reaching from the wrong side to serve or clear plates or reaching all the way across the table instead of walking to the other side. Not awful, just not the top-notch service we expected and it happened at most every dining room meal other than those where Milan served us. Food was excellent. No complaints at all. Buffet desserts were fairly ordinary, but the cookies were yummy ;-) We had one meal in the Crown Grill ($29 upcharge). My lamb chops were perfect, but my husband's filet has a lot of gristle and sinew and was pretty chewy in places. Try the garlic fries! Of all the ships we've been on, I think the ancillary entertainers were the very best! The productions shows were very good, but not outstanding. However, the lounge piano player (AJ Clarke) was excellent as were all the other ship entertainers. Our cabin (D323) is a mini-suite and was adequately spacious. No complaints at all. However, our cabin attendant was the worst we've ever had. When we first entered the cabin, we found a hat on the top shelf, left by the previous occupants and, as we unpacked, we found a laundry ticket on a closet shelf, a white pill on the floor, along with a toothpick and a pen from Residence Inns. Also, hair on the balcony table, obviously hadn't been cleaned, and mold in the shower grout until the second to the last day of the cruise when she finally bleached it out. As Ruby level, we were supposed to get complimentary champagne on embarkation. She left 1 glass of champagne on the counter, although there were two of us. We had no ice bucket or ice for the first two days, kept asking for that and robes. Finally got them late the next day. One thing we did notice was that the crew was not as friendly as on other ships and, if they were going somewhere (or pushing a cart), you'd better get out of their way because they were not going to divert their path to accommodate you. Also, all public restrooms had brass plaques that said to prevent the spread of illness to use a paper towel to open the door and throw the paper into the receptacle provided, except most rest rooms did not have a receptacle, so there was no way to do what they suggested. We did no shore excursions. Amber Cove was a new port to us. It is lovely. We would definitely be happy to see it on our itinerary in the future. All in all, a very nice cruise, with just a little slippage in the dining room service from other cruises and a definite problem with the room attendant. She was polite and nice, just needs more training and needs to pay attention to details. Read Less

I went on this cruise with a group as a charity fundraiser. I was pleased to be on a Princess ship as my prior experiences with Princess were wonderful. We upgraded to a balcony room and the room was smaller than a normal size room. The food on this ship was only mediocre. The choices were limited for dinner and the "always available" choices tasted like yesterday's dinner. Our waiter was a nice young man with no personality. His assistant was personable, but seemed new. For example, we asked for extra butter with our rolls. We were a table of six and were served 3 small balls of butter. He said that was all he was allowed to give us at a time. I asked for extra ice cubes each meal. On prior cruises, if I asked for something once, it appeared every day at dinner. On this cruise I was brought four cubes if I asked. In the cabin, the drawers did not work and we had to yank them out to get in them. The desk was not wiped off for 3 days even though it was stained. On a good note, the entertainment was the best I had encountered on any of my cruises. I will travel with Princess again but only on transatlantic voyages on Regal or Royal Princess. Read Less

My AWESOME friend won this cruise through Air Miles and chose ME as her guest! It was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for such a wonderful vacation, especially for two former single moms getting back on our feet and not being able to afford a cruise vacation. We were treated like royalty, the food was out-of-this-world and the room service (by Rey!) was incredible! The activities on board kept us so busy that we never even had time to swim in the ship pool(s) or soak in any of the hot-tubs. Our tours were phenomenal, although more time allotted at each port would have allowed for more relaxation time on the beach and/or souvenir shopping; an extra 2 hours per port would have been perfect. WHAT A FANTASTIC TRIP! We ported in Cozumel for the jeep/snorkel tour and ported in The Bahamas for the bus tour/snorkel experience. We got to try conch for the first time ever and it was delicious! We learned a lot about the Bahamian people, their culture and traditions, but especially enjoyed the little middle school children singing for us. The Princess Cays is gorgeous with the soft white sand and beautiful turquoise water. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Air Miles and the Crown Princess for ensuring that our cruise was even more AMAZING than I could ever imagine!!! Went on as a Csino VIP. Just to many people in the casino. Could not get on Tables most times. Should hold VIP CASINO trips on a bigger ship with a bigger Casino. The food was OK but choices were small. As a Elite Member (33 Cruises) we had to ask for what currant Elite events were being held. They said the room stuart had all that information, he did not. We had to go up to the Skywalkers to see if they had the regular 5 to 7 event. They did, we used to get a sheet as to what was up there each night. The Casino sent my wife and I each a nice platter of choc. strawberries, at 4pm last night of cruise. Not a lot of time to enjoy them. The rest of the cruise was fine as usual for Princess ,just these small problems. Harold Schefts Read Less
