Our first Princess cruise-a little disappointing.

We have sailed on Norwegen, Holland America and Oceania., Chose this cruise based upon time of year and origin and final ports in the Mediterranean. The stateroom with balcony and the E-Z airfare were very affordable. Embarkation and disembarkation were very organized and well done. The public areas of the ship frequently were just a little smelly with sewer smell and on the promenade ...

We chose this cruise as friends had booked and we wanted to join them. We had only done 1 cruise before, and it was 5 star, with 210 passengers. People told us not expect the same but we were pleasantly surprised, we loved it! From the time we checked in to embark it was efficiency plus. This is a well oiled machine. We were not cruising to sit on the deck on a lounger in the hot sun and ...

Expectations were too high for a mediocre and disappointing experience

I'll start by saying that we are a family of 4 adults who only chose Princess based on the ports of call in the Mediterranean. It was chosen for Santorini and Naples, in August where other lines did one but not the other. We have cruised before, one of which was a similar Mediterranean cruise but different ports. I'll start with the positives. The food and bar staff are exceptional, their ...

Could do so much better

1. We had booked a cabin and the pictures on the web site did not show that this would have pull down beds stowed and a column in the cabin this greatly reduces the limited space and we should have been made aware of this when we booked back in February 2107. We could have then made an informed decision on the cabin instead of me keep hitting the bed that stuck out from the wall with my shoulder ...

Having travelled before both on Celebrity Cruises and Holland America Line it's not easy to find cruiseships and itineraries that might excite us. It was the second time we travelled with Princess and we enjoyed as much as the first time. The ship's decoration is older, still everything is very well taken care of. The cabin (interior) had the same usual size as we've seen in other cruise ...

I chose this cruise because our agent was able to tie it in well with a land trip we were doing earlier. It also included many places that I have always wanted to visit, and some I hadn’t heard of too. When booking we were not told it was 2 back to back cruises, but this did have an effect on the cruise. Ports included were:- Salerno, Kotor, Corfu, Crete, Mykonos, Athens, Santorini (substituted ...

Horrible cruise. Do not take this cruise line

We had chosen this cruise because of the itinerary. We traveled 3 generations including 2 children ages 7/10. The food was beyond horrible. We are vegetarian and they put meat in our food in the main dining hall. Guest Services was awful and did not even try to remedy the horrible food. The cabins are small and outdated. The entertainment at night (nightly shows) were awful. The comedian ...

My husband and I sailed on the Crown Princess from August 4 - 11. We've had five cruises on RCI and HAL but this was our first time on a Princess cruise. We've loved all five of our previous cruises but we won't be doing another Princess cruise. I'll list the pros and cons. Pros: -the beds and bedding were super comfy -the International Cafe had good salads and the pastries in the morning ...

A new once in a lifetime at every turn!

We picked the Mediterranean as a destination for the history and the variety. Our kids (19 and 17) love Roman and Greek history and mythology. This was a great way for our family to have a trip before both kids head off to college in the fall. We went with my sister-in-law and a family friend (making our party 6 in total). We boarded in Barcelona for a two week cruise to Rome and Athens. We ...

New beds and outstanding itinerary

We enjoyed the new beds/bedding added to the Crown Princess recently and benefitted from a spring refurbishment to the ship. The itinerary and port excursions were excellent (though the Mediterranean in July/August is incredibly warm). Our steward was wonderful. Spa services continue to be over-priced and there is no beverage package that actually makes sense but we enjoyed Princess once more on ...
