Poor Choice

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Crown Princess

I was very disappointed by the current state of Princess. In the past, the food and entertainment were quite good. This time, the food was very poor and the entertainment on the ship was not up to par. The main theater was full a half hour before the early show and we were shut out four nights. It is too small for the size of the ship. The activities on the ship were not very good and we spent ...

My Second Cruise on the Crown Princess

Let me begin by stating that I am an experienced cruiser. I have Platinum loyalty level with Princess and NCL with multiple cruises on Carnival; I have also cruised with Costa, Holland America, Celebrity, RCL, and Dolphin Cruise line. This cruise was my second cruise on Crown Princess the first being in November; about 6 weeks before. We booked this cruise strictly due to price but I found the ...

Big Disappointment

My husband and I had been looking forward to trying Princess for the 1st time. We had cruised on several other cruise lines and had heard that Princess was a class above Carnival or Norwegian. Unfortunately, we found that this particular ship was not the best food by any means. The buffet had the same selections every day, nothing was hot and there was always a long line. Sometimes had a hard ...

Consider a Different Ship

Cruised on the Crown Princess from Ft Lauderdale to Honduras and Cozumel. We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We were looking for a short getaway and we wanted to visit a port we had not gone to in the past; Honduras. We previously cruised on the Regal Princess and thought we'd try Princess again. Embarkation/disembarkation was quick and easy. The ship needs some TLC. Lots of rust, chipped ...

Stayed over night at the Embassy Suites on 17th. Very nice with transport from airport to hotel and from hotel to cruise port. Within walking distance of Publix, Outback, Carrabas, Five Guys, CVS, etc. My DH and I have sailed with Princess 14 times but have never taken a 5 day cruise. Wont’t take another either. No comp in Crown Grill for suite passengers or EZ Air for disembarkation. Booked ...

Aging rapidly with little care and nothing to do...

This was our third time on the Crown - due to itinerary, not because of the ship itself. Each time, the ship, the food, the activities (if any) have declined. Before considering this ship, be aware, there is no bowling alley, no rock wall, no enclosed pool, no water slide and very little to do for anyone who likes to move around at a normal pace. The director was leaving this week, so maybe the ...

Pretty disappointing experience

This was our 4th time cruising. We were excited to cruise with Princess mainly because we thought Princess is higher class than Carnival or Norwegian. I was wrong. In many ways, they were even worse. Perhaps my expectation was too high. Their service was poor. Especially, the waiters and reception desk folks were pretty unfriendly. The food was mediocre at best and their room was pretty old ...

Decidedly Mediocre

Maybe I've been spoiled by sailing with Celebrity last year, where everything was terrific. The Crown Princess entertainment was the best thing about our experience. The staterooms were also nice, although pretty much standard. The things that really disappointed were the food and the way dining was set up. We were 'traditional' dining, but seated during an open reservations timeslot... we had ...

We were so excited to get back on Princess and feel that Princess level treatment. We have cruised 14 times..Princess 06, Carnival 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, and 2012, Royal Car in 2007. Our first cruise was a Princess cruise and we were in awe of the whole experience. I realize it being the first may have impacted our memory, but we knew what service, pride, great food, attentiveness, and genuine ...

Perfect for 70 year olds and older....

We had no idea Princess Cruises were catered for the elderly, (live and learn). - There was a constant flow of "American" fare, unexciting for us, since we enjoy piquing our palates, frozen seafood-sometimes overcooked, lots and lots of beef, no wholegrain breads or pasta/rice, some breakfast items like oatmeal, fruits, yogurt and toast were cut off at 8:00am on day of disembarkation, even ...
