We chose this cruise because we've never been on a transatlantic cruise, really wanted to see Iceland, and thought this would be a wonderful way to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We have taken about 20 cruises with almost all big ship cruise companies, but the most with Princess. We are Platinum members.
We found the evening shows and daily activities to be very limited and not very ...
This very useful. web-site Cruise critic does not accept reviews written in Portuguese, to get an English version I used translators software available at internet.
Our trip in Crown Princess ship was pleasant, there were a big number of travelers around 3300, most English speaking people in advanced age. Food and wine were reasonable, the Grill restaurant is not included but it is great and ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary, northern Atlantic including Iceland and the Shetland Islands. The good part of the trip was the staff, very friendly and courteous. The business model is discouraging with continuous pestering to get a little more money from the passengers. One example is adding dining choices with extra costs, wine tasting, and selling bottles of water to go ashore. The ...
Two of the reasons that my wife and I chose this particular Transatlantic was that I was scheduled for the Shetland Island, Scotland and Iceland. These particular destinations were not being offered in 2018 and we wanted to see them, thus our decision.
Due to high winds and heavy seas, the Crown did not stop at the Shetland Island port of call as there was a safety concern, and I understand ...
We choose this cruise for the itinerary. we like repositioning cruises. We've cruised with Princess before and had a good experience and good food. This time the food was terrible. The meat was tough, even in the Crown Grill. The dining room staff tried hard, but they need more training. They interrupt your conversation to take your order. They cross in front of you to clear the table. And ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary. The cruise was crossing the North Atlantic. There were not enough on-board activities for the days at sea. Every common area was crowded and it was difficult to find a seat. There were not enough enrichment lectures. The ship needs to go into dry-dock and be updated. The walls in the corridors were dirty and the elevators were slow or under repair.
The ...
Visiting Norway has always been on my bucket list. I am so glad we went.
Ship overall: We have travelled with Princess (Ruby and Crown), Carnival (Spirit), MSC (Fantasia), Costa (Deliziosa), P&O (Pacific Dawn), Celebrity (Reflection), Royal Caribbean (Legend of the Seas). One thing we have learned is that, in the end, it's all much of a muchness. And much depends on your own attitude. Keep ...
We chose this cruise because of the visit to the North Cape. We always choose the location and then see which cruise company is going there. In this case it was Princess. I cannot fault the itinerary. We stopped at some beautiful ports and the scenery was stunning. We did our own thing as the cost of the ship's tours were very expensive. At the North Cape we arranged on the internet for a ...
The ship needs a good re-fit , dated, in my opinion not enough staff on all departments.
Cabin was ok , The Horizan restaurant was never fully opened, walkways closed off leading to long walks to get food, which became bland after having to eat there every day, seating allways seemed full and forget waiter service dinning in the 2 free restaurants unless you want to eat after 19.45 hrs . No ...
In my opinion, Princess always has the best itineraries. We have done Alaska, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, Norwegian Fjords and Baltic and chosen Princess each time based on the best itinerary.
The food is good, not special. Club Class dining is new and a GREAT addition for those in mid-ship mini-suites. No lines and a slight food upgrade.
The entertainment is also good, not great. ...
