We chose this cruise because there were three ports we hadn't see yet Grand Turk, Saint Kits, and Antigua. We had booked our flights our selves and within ten days of departure we were informed that Princess changed the method they allow passengers to board. Were were assigned a boarding time of 2:30pm, which caused us to change our travel plans. However, we were able to board by 1:30. We also ...
We chose this cruise mainly for the ports, three of which we had not been to before. This was our 19th cruise...third time on Princess. The cost was very reasonable. We were a little discouraged after booking, as there were several negative reviews of this ship. Sometimes I think more people write reviews who are discouraged with a cruise than those who were pleased with it. But I'm happy to say ...
This particular cruise has a wonderful itinerary! Plus, I like Princess!
If you are reading this, you are doing so because you are thinking about booking or already have on the Crown Princess. Rest assured, the Crown was WONDERFUL!! Yes, she is an older gal, showing her age a little but still a great ship with a spectacular crew! Yes, there was still a generator problem, not allowing us to go ...
I chose this line because my sister swears by it and the itinerary took us to an island we had never visited before. We chose a balcony cabin because that is the type we choose on all cruises we take. This one was advertised at over 200 sq. ft. but that must have included the large balcony because the cabin was too small to accommodate a couch as we have had on all of our other cruises. This ...
Great anytime dining experience, the 'Vines' wine bar was a great way to socialize before dinner. Piazza entertainment each night while having a glass before dinner. Stateroom was clean and well kept by our able steward. The ports were all interesting in their own way, Dominica was still suffering the effects of a past hurricane, organization was lacking here. Movies under the Stars was a little ...
We have been on Crown several times in the past two years. Not through wanting to go on this ship but because of the ports the ship would go into. We knew from a short e mail from Princess that we would not call at Princess Cays and times in other ports would alter, all due to a problem with one of their engines.
Our first problem encountered was the television would not switch on. After ...
Try not to put too much stock in negative reviews. Contrary to the opinion of some, Crown Princess does not seem at all "tired or worn" to me. Here's what I did see in my recent cruise. The ship is immaculately clean. The staff does a great job in the public areas as well as the cabins. I have been on several cruises on several cruise lines. I tend to gravitate to Princess because I like the ...
Our opinion is that Princess has been sliding downhill since being purchased by Carnival. The dinner menu is small with fewer choices and the food is getting worse. All but one meal that we had was overcooked and tough. It takes a lot to make corn on the cob tuff to chew. The good thing about Princess is they have the Medallion Services to simplify your cruise. For those that are saying we don't ...
We booked this cruise as part of our community cruise. Expected to have many beach days, had only one! Having seen Princess Cay yet after cruising with Princess once before. One excursion badly deccribed and hated. Missed two stops that we had beach days schedule. Not enough seating for number of passengers on ship. Gave up many days trying to find a seat and went to cabin and sat on balcony. ...
I choose it because I would be in Aruba for my 75th birthday and I love Aruba. The age of the passengers was old old old. Not my cup of tea. I would not recommend princess if you want a younger crowd. They were also lacking in movie under the stars and some interesting activities on sea days and half port days. I understand that the ship is going in for another refurbishing in March. It needs it. ...
