Initially chosen for the price......and as we live in Florida very easy access.
I always read cruise critic and in most cases have agreed in general with the comments. I admit I was a bit concerned about this cruise from reviews I had read....prior to the cruise.

My daughter and her family included me as a whole family Christmas vacation. None of us had ever been in a cruise before. We loved every minute of it. We loved our dining room experience. Having had been on 10+ cruises before (Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Norwegian, MSC) I have to say that this cruise line is the worst when it comes to customer service. Travelers used to good customer service should not sail with Costa.

We chose this cruise because it suited the dates we wanted to be away.
The Good: The ship and cabin were nice and clean. The Staff in general work so hard!! They have so much energy!! We really appreciate their enthusiasm! We enjoyed the shows and had great time at the Mirabilis bar. New Year's Eve was a blast!
