We choose this cruise for its itinerary and a very competiive price. We have 21 cruises behind us and this was our third with Costa so we knew what could be expected and not. Embarkation in Dubai after 6 pm was very swift, no doubt helped by the fact that many passengers had already boarded the day before in Abu Dhabi. The ship may be a bit old but is kept tidy and is in a good condition. ...

Hi, We are an English couple, 60 years of age who have just completed our first Costa cruise. This was on Costa Mediterranea, 7 days down the Dalmatian coast in late April 2016. To put our comments in context I should add that we have previously cruised with Cunard, MSC, Princess and Celebrity. If you have experience of different cruise lines you will know that each has its own individual ...

Costa Mediterranea (Venice/Croatia/ Montenegro/Kefalonia/Corfu) Costa not as good as Royal Caribbean. Decoration is very gaudy/loud/not matching (don’t know who their interior decorator was but I wouldn’t have him in my bathroom never mind house) – except for the Osiris & Isobella theatre . We paid for the AI package which we felt was prob worth it when you consider you have to pay for ...

Costa Mediterranea Eastern Mediterranean October 2015.  It can be very difficult to get a picture of a cruise line by reading cruise reviews. People experience the same thing but their opinions can differ. The case of Costa might be the the most confusing of them all since reviews are so diverse when it comes to this particular company.  Does Costa offer a really nice cruise experience, or ...

We found this cruise at a very convenient price but the topics we are reviewing we understand that no matter how much you pay are good to be aware. Positives: Food was good for Italian and Spanish but Americans or British may suffer without a cooked breakfast or egg options. Staff is friendly and attentive what indeed makes it better. The cruise is kept clean and you can see staff ...

This was the 1st time we had sailed with Costa and it will be our last. The worst meals on board were dinner, if you didn't like the food served in the restaurant you were pretty stuck as the buffet restaurant wasn't open in the evening. The food wasn't that great in the restaurant most of the meat dishes didn't come with vegetables or salad, the food was luke warm some were cold you had to ...

Embarkation was from the Costa terminal at Savona and was both efficiently and professionally handled. Within an hour we were on board and in our cabin with our luggage and Costa cards. Aesthetically pleasing initially, the cabin soon revealed some unpleasant surprises. There was a strong odor of former passengers which persisted throughout the first half of the cruise, and only dispelled through ...
